I’ve got the first 3 picks in a Dynasty league. I’ve got the opportunity to effectively trade one of those picks (Ayton) for Tatum. Would you do that?

Luka and JJJ seem to be the best 2 rookies of this class, Ayton should be solid too, Tatum will be in a crowded situation while Ayton will be starting.

tatum efficiency can't get much better, and I think Ayton Ceiling might be a bit higher, I guess depends if you prefer the product you already saw and have an idea of what he can be, or the prospect of something that can be a bit better.

Yes I would. I’d use the other two picks on JJJ & WCJ

Thanks for the feedback!

I’ve actually got the 1/2/3/5/10 picks in the first round and already have Issac/Allen/Turner/Fultz/Mitchell/Gaz Harris as keepers. I think Tatum makes more sense even if I’m risking missing out on a generational big.

Cheers

JJJ and WCJ are special, who are also future centrepieces of their respective teams. Since you have 5, take Doncic and JJJ then Carter at five

think Ayton will make a more immediate impact then Tatum. I love Tatum, but I'm worried about his value this upcoming season with a healthy Kyrie and Hayward returning to an already loaded roster.

You have to for sure take JJJ, Carter Jr, and Doncic. That's a pretty good looking dynasty team.

Eric, you would take WCJ over Luka if you just have a shot at one of them?

@andmlemos I’d take Doncic ahead. I’m not 100% if it’s the correct move but it’s the one I would make if given the choice.

That's very interesting to me. I've two tiers: JJJ and Luka comfortably in the first one and Ayton and WCj in the second one.

Even if thinking that picking him over Luka is a stretch, it made me feel more comfortable with my top4 for a draft where I've picks 2 and 4 (Planning to Pick JJJ/Luka at 2 and 4, but in the case one of them is taken WCj should be my guy with the 4th pick)

I assume you are low on Ayton and very high on WCJ. Nice stuff. Thank you it is good to know.

I agree with your tiers. Ayton will produce but if he does not block shots he’ll end up like a ZBo in his prime.

He is, in my opinion, a different beast from ZBo, I don't think he will be a elite shot blocker but I think he will be between 1-1.2 bpg at least, with the physical tools to improve it to at least 1.5. But I won't be surprise if WCS is a much better fantasy and real life asset.

Fair enough. Maybe I’m a bit too hard on Ayton.

I like WCJ > Ayton.

coming into the draft WCJ looked like the most well rounded player of all the bigs. Ayton and Bagley had questions about their defense. Bamba and JJJ still feel a bit raw. WCJ balled out at Summer League, and he looks like the complete package. I just hope the Bulls turn him loose. He needs to start over Robin Lopez. Also, don't want to see Jabari Parker take minutes from WCJ and Lauri

Dude.....

I didn't like Bari from a hoops perspective but have been boycotting Bulls so no biggie.

But fantasy. Yuk. If they ever realize he can't really play the 3, no good, though i did hear Zach Lowe mention some rumblings of Lauri at the 5.

Andd agreed, Sideshow Bob could use a one way ticket out of town
