Hi all,
Really appreciating this resource as a means of crowd sourcing and gathering opinions. Thoughts on my team below are appreciated - thinking of dropping TJ Warren for JRich? Plenty of value left on the waiver wire. Have been offering Horford + Otto in trades - no takers on any first or second round talent so far.
Stephen Curry
Gary Harris
Jimmy Butler
Myles Turner
Al Horford
Malcolm Brogdon
Otto Porter Jr.
Nikola Vucevic
Aaron Gordon
Tim Hardaway Jr.
TJ Warren
Kent Bazemore
Enes Kanter
Solid looking team you got there!
I'd say Kanter is your "weaker link". I'd drop him for JRich. Turner, Horford, and Vooch got your C pos and stats covered.
Like Erik said I would rather drop Kanter than Warren. Warren just signed a decent size contract so they should be committed to getting him going and he's shown in the past he can be a very solid fantasy contribute when given the chance.
Kanter on the other hand is going to be among 4 centers in New York vying for minutes once Noah comes back. Hornacek didn't care about giving any one player at the center position consistent minutes last year so, based off that, while Kanter may get 30 minutes one night, he may not play more than 10 the next two weeks. On top of that you have good depth at the center position.
Yep, 100% with @FANTASYHOOPLA on this puppy.
Thought I'd chime in with a different perspective. I'd actually drop Baze. Kanter's %'s, points and boards would be a plus, Turner and Horford could easily be lower boarding bigs. Horford naturally is. While Kanter doesn't really hurt you in any cats, just doesn't do much in some.
Meanwhile Baze is gonna kill your %'s - he's gonna shoot ALOT this year, and he's just not a good shooter (his career FT% is a dead give away for this). JRich is what we all want Baze to be, but just falls short. He should give better %'s, and the steals/blocks at a higher rate.
I get that Kanter will possibly end up ranked lower than Baze but if this is H2H that's not always the key deciding factor.
Cheers for all the responses.
I am in a H2H league, Scott, so your point is quite valid. The reason I took Kanter was for his percentages, and thought he was good value as my last pick.
However Baze is one of those guys that I think could make the leap this year on a very thin Hawks squad. It's now or never for him, so I'm on board (for the first few weeks anyway).
