16 Team 9 CAT Dynasty League. You can keep guys forever no price attached to them.
Sorry for the book in advance.
My core pieces are Jokic, Kemba, Ben Simmons, Mike Conley. Other key players are Joe Ingles, Aminu, Reggie Jackson, Jeremy Lamb, Denzel Valentine, Willy Hernangomez.
I’m working with another owner, I want Gary Harris, Otto Porter, and Andre Drummond. Of my core/key players only Kemba is a high volume good free shooter and Ben Simmons destroys that. Conley also shoots a lot of free throws but it’s Dynasty and he’s 30 and has an Achilles injury. Might as well punt FT% and build a high efficiency team that does everything else.
Would you trade Jokic, Denzel Valentine, and Justin Jackson for Porter, Harris, Drummond? Is that enough you think? Also being 16 Team I’d prefer have the depth.
@hygemac - I have to admit, Dynasty is not my specialty, but I'll do my best with it. Yes, I think I would. Here's my advice, though, before taking any trade. YOU know you're going to punt. If the other owner doesn't, you might be able to play that card. Tell the other owner ... "Hey, I'm taking Drummond's terrible FT off of you, let's upgrade someone."
Still, overall, Porter and Harris are solid; Valentine might never amount to a hill of beans, and Jackson is a big question mark that may or may not pan out, too.
Rather than dropping richaun holmes would it not be better to try trade him to a joel embiid owner?
@am007 - Yes, if you can pull it off. I'm guessing they're mostly just content for the time being since he's been fairly healthy so far.
In an 11 team 0 cat roto, good buy low if I send off aaron Gordon for kawhi?
9 cat!
I have Jokic, Myles Turner and Clint Capella in a 12 team 9 Cat Roto.
I'm being offered Kevin Love for Clint Capella straight up What do you think?
Pick two of: WCS, Valanciunas, Alex Len, Richaun, JAM Green. 9-cat roto. Cheers.
@nikky - Ask for more. Capela is ROARING right now, and that person clearly wants him.
@huy - WCS and Green (Richaun is the stash, if such a roster spot existed)
Trying to settle my roster. Some decent guys on the wire.
14 team, 8 cat. Stated this before, but need boards and assists, and some threes.
Guys who I can drop: F.Ntilikina, J. Green, J. Richardson, K. Dunn, A. Crabbe, P. Millsap
On the Wire: M.Chriss, K.Olynyk, L. Nance, T. Ulis, N. Mirotic.
I think I am going to drop F.Ntilikina for M.Chriss.
Thinking of dropping J.Green for L. Nance or Olynyk.
Not really happy with J.Richardson.
Thoughts?
Thank you.
@Joseph - If you need boards, assists and 3's, I think it has to be Olynyk. He's the only waiver wire guy that can hit all 3.
If you want a SAFER path to 1 of the 3 categories you're hunting, go with Nance.
If you want the ultimate risk/reward guy, go Niko, since he could be HUGE in 3's and boards, but could also do zero.
Thanks for the quick reply.
No Chriss?
Thanks
Is it a good idea to sell high on favors...i can trade him to tatum who is said to be a sell high himself?
@Joseph - I know I'm not with the masses on that one, but Chriss looks AWFUL. I've been watching a lot of Suns hoops to get a feel for their C and PG battles, and Chriss consistently underwhelms. He might get it going, and if he does, he'll be fun, but it could take all year.
@dunhill - Yes, definitely a good idea to sell Favors. He has a time-stamp on Gobert's return. And Tatum is a better ROS value than Derrick even though he's also a sell high. He's a sell less high. Hah
