For me it depends how the first half of the draft went. If I didn't get the players I wanted, or gambled a bit on guys with high ceilings, I might try to balance it out with a few lower end guys that I know exactly what I'm getting. The later the draft goes, the more risky you can be with your picks anyways. You just have to be aggressive on the waiver wire if you start lacking in a category because of the risks you took.

I suppose that part is true. I generally don't take risks early, so around round 7/8 I've got a lot of firm foundational guys and can go BUCK WILD
