I'm thinking of offering my Taurean Prince for their Marcus Morris. They have similar stat sets but the FG% of Prince is absolutely horrendous and the return of Kyrie could dampen any of Prince's across the board stats. I know Morris is currently out with a neck injury and a potential trade could hurt his value but What are your thoughts and suggestions? Thanks for any input.
My Roster:
PG: Kyrie Irving (PG/SG), Mike Conley, Lonzo Ball
SG: Joe Ingles (SG/SF), Damion Lee, Norman Powell (SG/SF)
SF: Gordon Hayward (SG/SF), Taurean Prince (SF/PF)
PF: John Collins (PF/C), Brandon Clarke (PF/C), Davis Bertans (PF/C)
C: Nikola Jokic (PF/C), Jonas Valanciunas, Wendell Carter Jr.
The Prince thing is actually fairly intriguing to me. I think he could actually get better with Kyrie back in the fold.
Here is his stat line from the first 11 games of the year (when Kyrie played)
13 ppg / 2.7 3pm / 6.5 rpg / 1.3 aps / 1.1 spg and shot 42.9% from field on 10.8 shot attempts per game --> 101 ranking in 9-cat
Here is how he fared with Kyrie out of the lineup (26 games)
12 ppg / 2.3 3pm / 6.8 rpg / 2.5 apg / 0.8 spg and shot 35.4% from the floor on 12.5 attempts per gam --> 168 ranking in 9-cat
A lot of these counting stats are the same (with a tad more playmaking with Kyrie out), so I don't think Irving will necessarily hurt Prince in that department. I think his biggest effect on him will be that (a) he doesn't have to take as many shots now and (b) he could get better looks with more defensive focus on Kyrie.
All of this is to say that I'd be interested in sticking with him for a bit to see how he looks with Irving back around. Morris has been pretty solid this year but I think Prince could have bigger second half appeal.
Lots of good arguments on both sides to be made. I think I favor Morris just because his %s are at least GOOD most of the time. Prince, even at his best, is going to hurt you in FG% and sometimes hurts a little in FT, too.
