I have Love/Kanter in 2 separate Yahoo 12 team/9 cat H2H leagues.
Kanter's been sent to the bench and Love is on the mend.
Should I be in panic mode with either? I love their stats but hate any injury and/or Knicks drama...haha.
Depends what you can get in return. I wouldn't say you should be panicking over either of them, but Love's efficiency could stay pretty low since he's the only guy opposing defenses need to hone in on, and he's an injury/shutdown risk. Still, he should put up a lot of solid lines. Wait for a few of those and then make your move, if you really want to get out from under him.
As far as Kanter, he's a draft-day steal if you got him around his ADP of 90 or so. Even if he continues to come off the bench (which I don't foresee being a trend), he should get 25+ mins, which is more than he needs to average 14 and 11. Toward the end of the season, it would make sense for NY to be giving more and more minutes to Mitchell Robinson, but at this point in the season, I'm rolling with most the Kanter shares I have, as most people aren't going to return the value he's giving you.
Kanter will get his number regarless of him starting or coming off the bench. Love wants to play better... to win or to make himself a better trade candidate to move to a team with championship aspirations.
The question is, who are you getting back? Making trades is actually really hard. Making good trades is even harder.
“Hate” is a strong word. Kanter will start again. That was just Fizdale being a douche in an auto-loss matchup. I’d buy up any and all Kanters everywhere after that glitch game
