I've struggled recently with the hot pick-ups... trying to predict their season long value versus some more established players.
Trevor Ariza
Danny Green
vs
Mikal Bridges
Juancho Hernangomez
S. Gilgeous-Alexander
Danny Green is hot and cold, and I wonder if Toronto will start to reduce his minutes to save him for the playoffs. He's clearly a key cog, but they have a lot of depth and can't burn him out.
Ariza's shot is nowhere to be found. The timeshare with T.J. and Mikal is bound to affect his output. He's not going to get quality shots like he did in Houston with the playes around him. His assists are up, because he needs to help facilitate the offense. He's clealy a trade candidate, and who knows what his value will be if traded.
So, weighing that against the potential value of Mikal (tripple 1 potential, but in a timeshare), Juancho (solid all around player with opportunity, but inconsistent and unproven), Gilgeous-Alexander (good percentages, lots of upside, but in a timeshare with quality veterans).
In most leagues, I've prioritiez Slo-Mo and Danny Green (although I've dropped and added him back several times already), and I'm also stashing Mitchell Robinson... and so that usally leaves one spot for Ariza, Mikal, Hernangomez and S. Gilgeous-Alexander.
Who would you pick?
I want Trevor and Green over any of those other 3 dudes.
