I recently had the ninth pick in a 12 team 8 cat roto league where we go 22 players deep and all 22 players are starting and accumulating stats all year. I drafted jokic at 9 and when 16 came around I decided to go with CP3 ahead of Wall, Walker, Lowry and Holiday. It got a few grumblings from the draft room. Did I make a mistake?

Also, Near the end of the draft someone took Porzingis and another guy took Cousins. Considering that all stats count and you are getting zeros for games they don’t play, do u think burning last pick on these guys is feasible? Some of the guys that went undrafted include: CJ Miles, muscala, baynes, biyombo, kleber, pachulia

Based on per game value, you picked the right guy. You drew a reaction because of Paul’s injury history.
Porzingis and Cousins will likely be riding those managers’ benches for a while. They’re counting on getting some value from them late in the season.

Considering that there is no bench though, and all 22 players start the whole season isn’t it too risky to draft either? If Cousins plays 35-40 games at 25 mins a game is that better than let’s say 70 games of muscala playing 20 mins or 65 games of Zach Randolph playing 25 mins?

No bench? Whoa! Yeah, I’d stay away from both of those elite bigs for sure. The move is to ignore them in drafts in leagues of that type then just pick them up when they’re close to a return

Just run the numbers on mins.

If you put Zebo at 20 minutes per game for 65 games, that's 1300 mins.

Boogie and Porzingis are probably looking at about 30 games max (with a ramp up period for each), so the mpg will be lower than usual. Let's optimistically say 30mpg ... that's still 400 mins less than Zebo.

And considering it's roto, where a late push is less relevant compared to h2h playoffs, you gotta go with the dudes playing 65-80 games.

In terms of the point guard, Paul is WAY ahead of the others in per game, but again, roto, so totals matter ... I might have gone with a non-PG, since none of those guys are great value at that spot.
