Alright, just had a questionable trade come through in my 12 team H2H 10 cat league (10th cat is Technical fouls, stupid I know, but more on that later). In principle, I hate vetoing trades and would rather just trust each owner to make responsible decisions for their team, but alas, sometimes that doesn't happen.
So I would like an honest assessment from our community:
Team A. gives (in 1st place):
Kuzma
Sabonis
M. Gasol
for
Team B.'s (In 10th place):
Mirotic
Horford
Kanter
So obviously Team A in first place wins this trade, but the question in my mind is whether a legitimate case could be made from team B's perspective? If there is no chance that he could think this improves his team and helps put him closer to making the playoffs, then the trade should be vetoed. From where I sit, it looks like Team A receives the 3 best players in the trade, especially considering Gasol will likely have minutes scaled back/shutdown candidate and he is ranked lower in my league because he is top 15 in technical fouls and has accumulated more himself than the other 5 guys in the trade combined. Its annoying to have to consider that, but it is a counting category and can't be ignored.

Hmmm.... pretty much agree with you, but I think the bar is & should be high for vetoes. But yes the Horford, Mirotic, Kanter side looks far more valuable. Basically a top 30 and 2 top 50s (conservatively) for a top 40 and 2 late rounders? I'd certainly be unhappy about it, and annoying that a team out of the running would hand a lop sided trade to the team already winning. I suspect he just doesn't care, but usually that means not trading at all.
Man, weird. I almost never see teams basically cooked bother to log in. That's my main objection. Does the last place team even set his/her lineup?
His lineup setting is sporadic at best, these 2 owners are good friends so i think I've become paranoid that there are some shady dealings going on. Oh well, it's a standard Yahoo league so will need 4 downvotes anyway, we'll see what happens, thanks for weighing in!
just veto it and call some people to veto it too
it is obvious that he either doesn't care or is helping his friend
