Hey guys.
I had a pretty rough season this year. I've also had a rough year in general and recently been dealing with the loss of my father. Through it all my fantasy friends have been extremely supportive and it's helped to keep me in good spirits.
Given how up/down my team has been, and the fact that i'd been away for some time, I'm lucky to have made it into the playoffs. I'm the first round but i'm looking at my possible last day, so I wanted to take this time to say thanks to the Hoop Ball Crew and fans!
I didn't post as much this year but I did read a lot and it's been very helpful. I really enjoy BBall but the fantasy aspect really brings it to another level.
So if this is my last day of the season I'll definitely be back here next year to soak up as much BBall goodness as I can.

Wes, thanks so much for the kind words! I am so sorry for your loss! I hope fantasy basketball and HoopBall have been a distraction for you during tough times. It has always been an escape for me as well. I also lost my Dad a few years back and we did fantasy basketball together since 1980! I think that my involvement in fantasy basketball and HoopBall honors him in a way. Another-words, I get it. Hang in there man! HoopBall will be right here next season to assist you in getting a fantasy basketball championship and to have some fun!

So sorry to hear about what you've been going through. Lost my dad a long long time ago (hugs all around guys). I've been having a tough year myself struggling with an illness (it's why I haven't been as active on the forums here lately).
Best of luck with your matchup today, and most importantly, best of luck in coping with the loss. Something like fantasy basketball is trivial in comparison, but at the same time, it provides one of those daily routines and distractions that can be invaluable in helping you to cope with whatever struggles you're facing. It's great to hear that your fantasy buds have been so supportive.

I don't talk about it much, but I lost my dad suddenly in July. Wasn't myself for a long time. Still not entirely normal, but the weight hanging over me is a little less on a day to day basis. It sucks, and I'm sorry you have to go through that.
