Who wins?
Hahaha man you guys are trading half your teams! Geez.... Honestly it seems pretty even but I'd give a slight edge to the porzingis side since I like him a bit better than gobert. But all I'm all seems pretty even.
All in* all
Hoping for a bruski comment ??
@nictolentino I'd probably go with the Porzingis side. I like Kieff/Wiggins more than Russell/Crowder because I really don't trust Crowder. In a deeper league I prefer depth as well. Also, zinger is the best player in this trade.
Yep, pretty fair
I would echo the above, but I'd be closer to calling it a wash, since my money would be on Rudy & playing a few more games than Zinger & Butler. Plus Thibs is really hurting Butler's value, leaving him to stand in the corner and watch the others jack up shots.
Thanks guys!
I'm taking the top set of guys all day. Sure Porzingis is the best overall in the trade, which many will tell you to pick that side for that reason, but the top set of guys offer more upside and overall better categories. Gobert vs Porzingis....The Unicorn is no doubt going to score more and offer 3s, but in a deep league durability is huge. Porzingis is tall and lanky, and I see him getting hurt at some point in the season. Gobert is about as durable as they come and though his block numbers are similar to the Porzingis right now, season-long, his should be decently higher...and having an elite blocker is a big difference-maker.
Paul George vs Jimmy Butler...in their current situations, I take George EVERY TIME. Though a limited sample size so far, 12 games is a decent chunk to look at and see where we're heading. Anyone thinking Buckets will provide anywhere near his numbers of the last couple years is fooling themselves. Saying this is "the ultimate buy low opportunity for Jimmy" is laughable to me. This isn't Chicago anymore, kids. He's not the lead guy/only scorer anymore. Playing alongside guys like Towns, Teague and Wiggins (and Gorgui eventually) really hurts his usage rate. His numbers may improve from where they are now, but not much. I see him being a mid-round guy this year AT BEST....unless one or two of those other guys gets seriously injured.
George being part of OKC's 3-headed monster really hasn't hurt him much, his numbers are pretty comparable to last year and his efficiency should improve now that opposing teams can't afford to double on him alone.
Wiggins vs Russell....I'm taking Russel every time this year. Again, Wiggins is stuck in that same mess with Butler and doesng provide much outside of scoring. Russell is the star of the show in BKN, hasn't hit his stride yet and is already putting up some great lines. He also provides good assist numbers, which Wiggins lacks. Russel is poised for a huge year. Additionally, I'd steer away from having two of my better players on the same team (Wiggins and Butler)....in blowouts or 2-game weeks, it hurts you doubly, as opposed to having them on different teams.
Lastly, we come to Crowder and Kieff....based on all the mouths to feed in Cleveland and them not knowing how to put together an effective rotation, I give the edge here to Kieff...although Washington is a bit crowded and he could come down with another injury....anyway, this last little bit of the trade is negligible anyway.
In short, I think the Gobert side is easily where you want to be in this deal.
Great Work, Cap!
Thanks, boss!
I like the Porzingis side but Wiggins is making me gag, so if he was removed it might be a win.
