I'm finding it hard to split some of these players who have similar positions and ADP.
What do you think?
9 CAT Roto league

Gary Harris VS Aaron Gordon
Hardaway Jr VS James Johnson
Young VS TJ Warren VS Mirotic
Bazemore VS Hood VS Ingles

Harris
Hardaway
Young
Ingles
Good STL stats with these guys plus good FG from Harris, Young and Ingles. It's hard to ignore Gordon here but that's my picks. I also like slashes on position (espn) from Hardaway and Ingles.

There are what Bruski referred to once as "pockets of value" and that's where you find those players you have a dilemma choosing from. The marginal differences in their values shouldn't be something I would stress about. Within those pockets, pick the player that best fits your needs and/or you have.

I do think I have Gary in a higher pocket over AG though. And I am leaning more towards THJ over Johnson.

These are always fun:

Harris by about 5-10 slots over Gordon
Hardaway by a round or two over Johnson
Thad over Mirotic over Warren
Ingles over Bazemore over Hood

I think BPA should definitely be applied on your first 3 picks, but from there on, I think the pendulum between BPA/value and team composition becomes more balanced. I still would consider BPA, but not if I'm sacrificing too severely in team comp. So depending on how your team comp is...

Harris vs Gordon - Harris if you need 3s more than REBs, Gordon if you need REBs more than 3s. Otherwise, both provide a similar value elsewhere, more or less.

I personally would choose Harris, only because I'm 100% confident Harris will have a phenomenal season, whereas in my eyes, despite being at the 4, I still think Gordon has a chance to disappoint due to my history with him. So this one is clearly an emotional decision.

-------------------------------------------------------

THJr vs JJ - Since it's roto, I'd pick JJ over THJr over most scenarios. JJ provides a better balance of stats, albeit his FT% suffers a bit. If you're severely low on PTs/3s, then THJr would be better.

I personally would choose JJ, but I'm seeing a lot of Hoop Ballers posting their draft results here, and I noticed many of their teams are weak in PTs. So you might wanna monitor that, and steer towards THJr if needed.

-------------------------------------------------------

Thad vs Warren vs Mirotic - Honestly, if played right, you could very likely pick up 2 of those 3. Anyway, Thad if you need FG%/REBs/STLs, but slight minus to 3s. Warren for good balance including TOs, but slight minus to 3s. Mirotic for PTs/3s/REBs, but big minus to FG%.

I personally would choose Mirotic first, then pick up Warren only because of ADP. If ADP didn't apply, I'd pick Warren first, then Mirotic. I'll look for Thad if I'm low on FG%/STLs.

-------------------------------------------------------

Bazemore vs Hood vs Ingles

Hood has many minuses. Bazemore is okay and has some good upside in the tanking Hawks, but Ingles seems best in most cats.

I personally would choose Ingles in most scenarios.

Good luck!
