So a playoff team dropped Otto Porter JR I’m our 9-cat H2H dynasty league. I’m currently tied for first and may drop to top 3rd this week as I’m playing a tougher opponent than the two teams I’m currently battling for first. I have an open IR spot and I’d just like some advice on whether or not I should claim him off waivers and stash him with him coming back after the ASB? Our play offs are 2 week matchups beginning the week after the ASB and I feel I need one more stud to help my team get to the finals and win it.
I’d appreciate any thoughts on this to help me make my decision. I have second waiver claim and the IR spot to stash him
I don't think he's going to play this year, personally. He's just being reevaluated then. Next year he could be good, but if you're battling I'm not sure you can plan ahead like that.
I wouldn't use my waiver claim on him (assuming it's a higher one), but if you can get him after he clears and stash him on IR then yeah it can't hurt you. Just be aware that he's not a must hold if someone goes down for an extended period and you need the IR spot.
