A PG heavy team, but you were able to get some quality big men afterward. You have a well-rounded team that should compete in most cats. You got Tatum at good value, as well as Whiteside a little later than usual. Kuzma went almost free and Jaylen Brown is a nice flier. Your assists are going to be great, as will steals. Rebounds look to be in good shape with Capela, Whiteside, and Westy. I'd throw in one more big if you could. %s, turnovers and threes will be lower than normal. I think you got standard values and everyone in the right place though, and while you'll be down in roughly 4 cats, you are strong in the other five. %s can usually fluctuate anyway on given weeks.
Fantastic draft. From 1-8 you picked amazing. Conley fell to the 6th and Bam to the 7th is awesome. They've been going near pick 40. Your bench is above average as well with good value there. Paul in the fifth is fine. He's being overlooked in drafts, and to get Conley after anyway makes them interchangeable. I don't like Allen as a starter since he's going to be in an even timeshare, but every other pick was solid. This is going to be a good team. Culver is a nice flier for right now and may even earn a starting job sometime in the near future who knows.
There's no bench? That's really weird and makes things less interesting with no depth on a roster. Was this an auction draft? This had to be right? You ended up with a solid team with no assists and lower end steals. The rest are solid. Conley is easy money in the 7th round. While the team still came away strong, if this wasn't an auction then you got entirely too cute for your own good taking Porzingis in the first. His talent is top 15/20, but he's not a first-rounder in any league. You robbed yourself of getting a first-round talent and still getting Porzingis by taking him in this slot and making his ROI nonexistent. You still had a strong draft, but this really put a damper on what could have been.
Big heavy team! I think Favors went a little too early, but you were still able to get Bam right after which makes it better. Points and threes are not on the menu for this team. Assists are low as well with no point guards, but you have some bigs to help out there. ft% isn't the greatest either. Besides that, this team is ready to help contribute in every other category. Six straight bigs from the 3-8 picks is nuts, but you did get good players. Bam is ready to break out and Carter is oozing potential and another injury. There is a lot of potential with this team to dominate steals and boards while having a strong fg% and blocks, but there's also a lot of downsides to bomb right out. If Favors and Carter continue on their frequently injured paths, the final result won't be so rosy. This team has a punchers chance though with quality players with the seriously small starting lineup (6 players) working in your favor.
This looks to be the punting assists strategy, and I think it worked out well for you. You were able to supplement big-time defensive numbers with scorers who knock down triples. The majority of your big men aren't among the leaders in rebounds, but you have players who can get 5 or so of them in other areas. I think this team is well rounded enough to be competitive in virtually every category besides assists which is fantastic! good job of mixing and matching guys to fill all the holes of a team!
To be honest I don't really like the first team. Not that you did anything crazy or wrong, but first impression is that it just doesn't pop off as giving me a "wow" response. It seems middle of the packed and nothing that really gets you excited. there are some good picks and value, and I like the majority of the players, but there's just something missing. Again, I don't think you did anything wrong, I'm just not getting the vibes from it.
Was team 2 an auction draft? There's no way that Davis went 8 and Towns went 17! I'm going to assume that was the case and then evaluate it from that perspective. If it wasn't this is completely insane and you got stuck with an unfair advantage that makes up for anything (Tucker at 89, J Rich at 56, KD at all). You can make the playoffs on the back of these two alone, and if you are able to hit after them this team gets frontrunner status. Paul, Bledsoe and, SGA, and Murray are a good complement to have in your backcourt after splurging for the big two. I like Oubre's game and Harris is good value. Looney for nothing is also a great pick. I think there are quite a few picks that I'd question (depending on the price), but overall it's hard to bet against multiple top 5 players. If AD stays healthy he and KAT are going to be monsters. They'll carry you to the playoffs at least.
For punting ft% and assists%, you did pretty well. The one qualm I have with that is you don't have bigs outside of Drummond and Whiteside. You'll need more rebounds and players with a strong fg% to make this strategy its most effective. Your steals and threes look awesome, but the rest seem to be just hanging around. You would usually expect more when you're punting cats, to begin with. Whiteside and Drummond give you a rebound and block advantage, but there's not much else to compliment them, so going up against teams with a collection of bigs will pose a challenge. With that said being pretty good at most things will still get you wins, it'll just be more of a battle.
9 cat roto, 9 team auction:
my team:
KAT
Kyrie
Jimmy Butler
Vucevic
Conley
Bledsoe
Caris Levert
Wendell Carter
Miles Bridges (dropping for Gallinari. Maybe pick up Bojan Bogdan instead?)
Jon Isaac
Jeff Teague
Al Horford
was planning on saving my budget but butler and vucevic came at a real bargain and couldn't pass up
missed out on Collins but got a decent bargain on Horford so kinda makes it up, plus I have KAT and Vucevic
wanted to get Fox but ended up trading for Bledsoe (gave up Thomas Bryant), and ended up getting my target Isaac, giving up Jeremy Lamb.
this is 9 team league, so needless to say, all teams are stacked.
Have Gallinari on waiver
Have Bojan Bogdan, Jarrett Allen, Joe Ingles, Mikal Bridges on waiver.
any recommendations? I feel like I'm a little lacking on pts
I'm confused at what order these are supposed to be in as Mitchell and LaVine can't be that low. Also at first glance, I assumed Rudy was Rudy Gobert, but then I read that you are punting boards? Can you clarify?
I am not a fan of roto leagues, but I also like to do well in every stat and don't intend to go for punting. Butler in the third is great value. Turner went a little higher than I would have liked though. Besides that I think everyone went pretty much where they are going and you did quite well for yourself. You have people who contribute in every category (blocks being scarce) and are going to be able to compete and take 5 a week. The more chances you give yourself to take the five cats to, the more chances you have to win. Some people like to spread the love and some others like to narrow it down and specifically target their five for an advantage, but in narrows, your margin for error while making them stronger. It's all about preference. Two thing that matters whether it's roto or h2h is talent and opportunity. Talent and opportunity play to any league setting and should be what is zeroed in on when drafting a player. For a new h2h guy, I think you acclimated yourself well and are going to enjoy the greener grass on this side!
Extremely well-rounded team here man. I really like this one. EVery once in a while, someone will post a team where it looks like they drafted with their 5-year-old brother or aging grandparent who don't know what fantasy is. And in turn, they get an all-star loaded team with players free falling when they shouldn't. This is not one of those times. You pretty much went with the grain on each pick, no one too high, no one too low. A standard ADP draft. But this worked out, there is something here that I really like. I think your collection of players is going to gel extremely well together and you'll be able to compete in every category. Fg% looks to be your only weakness. But 8/9 categories with a potential to win every week is extraordinary. You obviously won't do that haha, but you have the ability. Job well done.
Stuck in no man's land. Sorry to hear that. You made the most of it though. You ft% is going to bad, and there's not many assists to go around. Scoring and treys look roughly avg as well. You'll get a ton of steals, strong rebounds, good blocks and fg% could be really strong (if Gordon can improve there). Turnovers can be another strength of yours. I think you have an alright team with some flaws, but enough fight in most cats to make a push.
A well-rounded team that'll be a nice fit for roto leagues. Your fairly strong in every category and Harden is awesome at everything. His ft% nullifies anything that Whiteside could do to it on a few attempts a game. You have scorers mixed with steals guys, and rebounders with assists guys. You don't have to worry about turnovers, so the only things that you are below avg on is fg% and blocks. With all those guard and wing scorer you're bound to have a lower fg%. You can get another shot blocker too when you need to. You're in a position to be among the leaders in a few cats tho, starting with points!
Hi Santino, this is a mock but this was against big money league guys..Standard 9 Cat 12 teams H2H
