Yeah my reasoning was that I already had Steph so I didn’t want to be redundant but yeah fox should still be good. So I should target more rebounding and blocks? How am in the other cats especially assists and free throws and fg%? And which picks weren’t ideal
Kanter and Barnes weren't where you took them. Hunter could have been gotten later. That's a lot of meat left on the board, and those first two give you nothing on defense. Since the majority of your team is wings who don't have the ball in their hands, you are lower on assists as you only have 2 players that will consistently get some, but it may be okay enough in a league this deep. This late it'll be tough to find them out there. Outside chance that Ish Smith, Caruso, or Fultz are available. Your fg% should be strong and Steph will keep your ft% above par.
ohh okay makes sense. Caruso is in fact available in the waivers I assume you'd recommend putting a waiver wire claim on him? and even though you didnt say it I assume im going to dominate in points as well haha. My thinking was also I should survive on boards since my wings also rebound as well, so my drafting was good aside from those 3 picks? My next draft is this saturday so im trying to learn from this one. Also if im picking up caruso who am I dropping coby white? or someone else.
So I just got offered bledsoe for my otto porter. What do you think? that would make me in elite in assists I think but giving up porter im hesitant on.
You'll be good in points, but I wouldn't say dominate. It's possible you only have one guy over 20ppg, but you have some people that will score in the upper teens and Fox should hit that benchmark though. I'd probably moreso target another big with good fg% and ft%. I'd try to move Barnes if you could (easier said than done).
You’ve had an awesome start to the draft. Paul has been sliding a bit further down draft boards, but top 40 is good range for him. When he’s healthy he is still a prime contributor and isn’t sharing pg duties with Harden anymore. Your bigs are awesome with Drummond, Capela, Adams and Lopez. They all get blocks. This is funny to say still, but Lopez is a sharpshooter who gets blocks now (plenty valuable). That’s a studded cast to start off with.
Your guards aren’t anything to sneeze at with Kyrie, Paul and Teague who for some reason is being overlooked right now. Steals, points, threes and assists with this group are plenty. Ingles helps in all these areas as well.
I love the PG/Big man combination of this draft and you executed it great to where you compete in every category and be really good in them on top of that. I’d stick to what you’ve been doing so far as it has been working. Take the best players available and go from there. You have all bases covered so you don’t need to pass on someone’s talent for a specific position or stat. it's never a bad thing to have a surplus of something, especially when you have everything well-rounded. There are more than enough shooters left late if that’s what you need.
Pretty even trade. Porter has a higher ceiling, Bledsoe the safer floor. It would help assists but your %s would take slight hits. I'd just let it ride for now
Thanks Santino!
I definitely agree on the forwards. Early in the draft I just took best player available and it was Gs and Cs.
There were multiple rounds where I missed out on players like Isaac, JJJ, Levert, even Oubre within 2-3 of my pick.
I ended up grabbing the Fs when I had filled all other starting spots.
I’m hoping that a F gets banged up and I can grab him off waivers during the year or there is a big breakout due to an injury etc
Thanks heaps!
Those are some good guys you missed out on, but your team is still strong. You’ll definitely need more F’s because you have no depth outside the 3, but for right now u don’t need to press the issue and pick up someone in free agency who’s worse because they’re a F. Something will come up either in a trade or injury situation soon enough. Continue to evaluate your options

Hi Santino,
This is my other team, thanks heaps for the advice on grabbing Len off waivers, looked good in his limited minutes after his ankle/back.
Anyway, this league is a new format for us (3rd year in). We previously had had 12 team H2H leagues but have had the 3-4 players that lose interest and end up ruining the league. It’s slightly complex. We’ve decided to go with a 12 man 8 team 9 cat H2H keeper league with real salary. $120 million salary cap. We can keep up to 7 players (only those who are drafted at the start of the year can be kept.
I had pick 7, and when everyone before me went big contracts, I decided to go with the smaller ones (so did pick 8).
Anyway let me know what you think!
Pg: Jrue Holiday (pick 90)
Sg: Donovan Mitchell (pick 10)
G: Trae Young (pick 7)
Sf: Jimmy Butler (pick 39)
Pf: JJJ (pick 23)
F: Wendell Carter Jr (pick 42)
C: Myles Turner (pick 26)
Bench: Dejounte Murray (pick 58)
Bench: Ja Morant (pick 74)
Bench: Robert Williams (pick 87)
Bench: Landry Shamet (pick 71)
Bench: Johnathan Isaac (pick 55)
I’ve included the picks, although they probably aren’t all that important. I know it’s too hard to assess when players were picked. But given it’s a 9 cat h2h how do you think my team stacks up in taking out 5 each week (leant towards a punt fg/turnover build)
Also, I think I easily have the most depth, I think I’ll have a tough choice next year with which 7 to keep!
Thanks!
Santino,
Love your work, Big task you have taken on here!
12tm roto league squad, draft is almost done but like to get your thoughts. Drafting 12th.
R1, P12: Brad Beale
R2, P13: Kyrie Irving
R3, P36: Mitch Robinson
R4, P37: Buddy Hield
R5, P60: Al Horford
R6, P61: Malcolm Brogdon
R7, P84: Kelly Oubre
R8, P85: Marc Gasol
R9, P108: Mikal Bridges
R10, P109: Dwight Powell
R11, P132: Kyle Anderson
R12, P133: Nerlens Noel
I am generally happy, particularly drafting from deep into no mans land. Thoughts are that its a generally strong squad, if a little light on Reb amd Assists.
Hey Santino! I went and joined a random casual league. It's a 12 team H2H standard league, I picked 2nd. i screwed around and tried an extreme punt team.
Guards: James Harden, Trae Young, Mike Conley, Terry Rozier, Tomas Satoransky
Wings: Caris Levert, Mikal Bridges, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Cedi Osman
Bigs: John Collins, Lamarcus Aldridge, Thomas Bryant, Kelly Olynyk
My initial assessment is that I should be tops or close to top in FT%, 3s, Points, Assists, and Steals. Last in blocks and TOs. Below average in FG% and Rebounds.
What do you think?
