It’s our daily DFS live thread, hosted by up to 5 DFS experts!
These threads will provide daily news/updates and act as a sounding board for new players and experts alike. This will also be a spot where we can link to interesting shows (like the one Coach, Mike and Andrew H. are putting out every day) or other info we feel is worth highlighting.
Myles and Andy G, two DFS experts that are going to be moderators for this thread (and the rest of the HB forums). They will also be making fill in appearances on the DFS Today podcast this 2019-2020 season.

Heres my early Showdown slate projections/advice for today 1/30/20 3 games:
TOR @ Cleve
I would take cleveland covering the 9 points without Gasol on the floor as the game could not blowout at all really.
Here we know it appears Gasol, RHJ are out for the Raptors, which will give more time to Ibaka and Boucher for tonight. So fire those guys where ever you feel free.
Previous meeting: 2020
These teams met not too long ago as Thompson dominated inside as well as Ibaka. Lowry was hard to stop and he Raptors did not have Marc Gasol. The guards for Cleveland are getting better, and the Love/Thompson combination worked well this day. Look for Larry Nance off the bench as well as he’s expected to be more aggressive per the coaching there.
Lowry has the most overall exposure or chalk, which is not surprising. Ibaka as mentioned could be 2nd most chalk for the night playing at center, even having him as a captain on the most optimal lineups.
GS @ BOS
I’m going to take the blowout here as it seems Golden state will have no chance to keep up with this team offensively or defensively.
Previous meeting: November 2019
These teams met this season and GS kept it very close as I watched the game, Jalen Brown did well, as well as Kemba and Thies so this combination will work today, with Tatum, whom was not too significant in this game. The two main guys for GS, Draymond and Russell also dominated.
with Robert Williams and Ernest Kanter out of BOS, the big guys on the bench will get time such as Grant Williams and Semi Ojeleye. GS should get plenty of run time for at least 9 guys today making it different to predict which guy will get hot so it’s best to spread out your exposure in multiple lineups.
Utah @ Denver
We are still expecting to be out for Denver: Paul Millsap, Jamal Murray, Mason Plumlee. So continue to use Michael Porter, Monte Morris, and Malik Beasley in the mix.
Last meeting: April 2019
Not putting much weight into this matchup from last year. Just to note though, Monte Morris had scored over 20 points. They Mitchell and Gobert had very good games as this was not competitive for Utah with a 10 point win.
You can fit Mitchell, Gobert, and Jokic in an optimal lineup tonight interestingly along with Clarkson or some other decent play off the bench and pick and choose 3 scrubs to make it work tonight.
