Hey, how quickly do you think Mirotic & Capela will get back to their best numbers. In Capelas case, how quickly should faried be dropped?
Thanks
Capela (thumb) returned to practice Tuesday and is expected to take the court tomorrow against the Lakers.
Barring a setback, Capela is set to return Thursday following a 15-game absence as a result of ligament damage in his right thumb. He'll presumably return to the starting five and play his full complement of minutes, which could spell the end of Kenneth Faried's fantasy relevance in many formats. Capela is having a career year, averaging 17.6 points, 12.6 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 1.5 assists on 62.6 percent shooting across 34.2 minutes.
I would hang with Faried for a few games. I still think he has a path for 20 minutes per game.
Mirotic is a completely different situation. Not only is he coming back from an injury but he also has to accumulate to a new team and a new role. I want to see how that pans out.
Good luck!
I think you're looking at maybe 1 game of Faried still having top-100 value. He'll drop back pretty fast. Niko is probably looking at a top-80 finish once he gets up to speed. A big step down from his numbers in NOP but still worth using.
