So seems like he may slow play coming back regardless? Speculating more along the 6 wk time table since he seems to not even want to be around Portis. Also since he can’t be traded until Jan seems it has to Portis to go but the Bulls have no depth until Mirotic comes back. Seems like a bad situation for Mirotic owners like me. Would you keep holding him? And let it play out or cut bait?

It depends who you are dropping him for but he is a cut candidate

I'm holding unless someone with HUGE upside comes along.

Most FA that get picked up and dropped every week are guys that top out at maybe top-90 value for the year. If Niko gets healthy and stops feeling 'sad' he has the potential to be a top-50 guy. At the beginning of a season, we're chasing upside.

Dan,
Would you drop him for Hardaway Jr in a points league? Not sure what the upside is for THJ

They'll probably post similar numbers in a points league, but they'll get there very different ways. THJ is going to be all scoring. Niko will be some 3's, boards, steals, blocks.

I think I'd only drop him if I was getting blasted in that league because of injuries.

@robert I cut bait in H2H leagues but I'm holding on in roto. Helps that I'm doing well in my roto leagues and my games played pace is great. In head-to-head I'm already stashing Holmes/Lavine so it's not worth the trouble for me.
