Hi Hoop Ball

Someone in my league dropped Love. Is he worth a pick up as my last roster spot? What’s his future outlook. Last, I really like having my last roster spot be for add-drops. Thoughts?

Do you have an IR slot?

They have no incentive to play him. With no IR spot you shouldn't pick him up.

Woah woah woah, slow down on the antilove.

How deep is this league? Amd who are your worst players on your bench? Is it a Roto or H2H league?

You need to seriously consider a free wire pickup from a guy who can put up 20/10 numbers on a nightly basis. They wont risk him. But i doubt they just sit him all season, he is the face of the franchise.

If it's a roto league (assuming there's a games-played cap) you add him even if you don't have an IR spot, no questions asked: in roto your bench is for stashin'. If it's H2H with daily lineup moves it's a bit trickier since you do lose value keeping dead weight in an active roster spot, but I'd still lean strongly towards picking him up and stashing him. I agree with Vegemite Toast that the upside is just too high to pass up. You can always throw him back in a few weeks if there are no signs of him returning and you decide you can no longer afford to be getting no production out of the roster spot.

Yeah, I think you gotta add him - he's a potential top-25 player when healthy, and I'd be pretty surprised if they don't try to get half a season out of him. There will definitely be rest days, but 30mpg over 45 games is probably still enough to get him top-50 value for the SEASON.

I don't have an IR spot, I've had him all season, there are people who drafted boogie and are holding him. I'm holding Love and when he puts together a good run I'll trade him as I think he's a shutdown candidate unless Thompson rescues the season like he did last night.
