Roco's been killing it so far! He's much more efficient this year (.497 FG%), shot below 40% the past 3 seasons and i keep waiting for his week-long slumps to happen but to no avail. Is this sustainable? I know being ranked 14th overall in standard 9-cats won't but what do ya'll think is his ROS projection for this season?
Oh and if you have him on your squad, who would you realistically take in return for him in a trade?
Definitely a sell high, though I do love RoCo. His FG% will probably peel off at some point, like you said.
If you can trade him for a solid 3rd round guy, I think that's decent. Or honestly, just enjoy his hot stretch, since he can power a team when he's going strong.
I think he'll end the year with better shooting percentages than previous seasons, but it'll be a hair above 40%. 3s & defensive stats galore with Roco and I wouldn't trade him unless I got an early rounder back.
I have tried. Noone in my league is willing to pay what i see as value for him. So continue the upwards ride waiting for the rollercoaster to turn.
Every game i brace for a 0-15 shooting night. But console myself on his bad nights that he will still typically add 1-2 money stats from the defensive end.
His shooting might come and go, but he will always be working hard on D.
Definitely a sell high. Too expensive right now though. In one of my leagues, the Roco owner wasn't even interested in a Draymond Green or Marc Gasol swap for him.
Lord roco has blessed you with a bounty of 3's and steals
That's the think with BobCov, the same reason you're able to draft him in the middle rounds and get early round value, is the same reason you can't really 'sell high' on him to any great extent. He has some of the least 'name value' in the league thanks to his D league history and people still think of him as semi-dispensable in Philly (which he isn't), or likely to kill your FG% (he's not). Just hang onto him and enjoy top 30 value, I doubt you'll get better than that for him in a trade. Only other option is to package him with another early rounder to try and get a top 10, but again I doubt you'll get equivalent value for him.
