Yes, that counter is too much. I think I would accept the 1-for-1. Giannis is overrated in category formats because, as you point out, he's basically a six-category player. He's ideally used if you're punting one of his bad cats. Getting Lillard for him sounds good to me.
That said, it still might be worth countering with a 2-for-2 if the other person wants Giannis that badly, since it could be a good opportunity to upgrade in another spot as well. I just think the counter you're suggesting is too much.
I'd do Giannis for Dame straight up.
You should be able to get more than Dame, just because of Giannis's name. Most folks aren't as disgusted by his FT% as we are here on the HB forums.
