12 team h2h 9cat league.
I'm locked in with 4 keepers: Steph, Jokic, Klay, Gordon Hayward. Because the top teams are strong on assists and blocks, I've basically focused on building a hyper-efficient Roto type team build, while somewhat ignoring guys whose value is highly tied to assists or blocks.
Like the strategy? Think there's a better way to compete with my 4 keepers?
I think you could be pretty good at assists, given 3 of your 4 keepers are at least average or better in that category, for their position on the floor.
Blocks you might be SOL. But get yourself a PG in the early/middle rounds and you'll be fine.
Agreed. I can be average at assists fairly easily, but it's tough to compete there against a top team that has Wall and Harden. That's why I say it's a light punt because come playoffs I'm not trying to win that category unless things shift in season. I tend to like a punt blocks build unless you have a top blocks guy because they're a somewhat fluky stat. You can be average in blocks and beat an elite blocks team in one week because they're so volatile.
I'm okay with that. Still, what about the teams that don't have Harden/Wall? Surely there are 7-10 teams you could beat in assists with, really, one more guy.
It's a sound approach. Percentages are also injury resilient and should be a good leg up in some weeks.
