Hey guys
9-cat H2H format, really competitive league (been doing it for 12 years)
Last place guy got fed up and dropped kyrie this morning after not having won a single week, I picked hip up 5 minutes after he dropped him, but I also have Zion and Oladipo (no IR) and am currently in 8th place. The rest of my team looks like this:
Kawhi
Paul George (traded westbrook for him)
PJ Washington (streamer)
Olynyk (streamer)
Millsap
Mitchell Robinson (traded Thomas Bryant for him right before the inj)
Lonzo
TJ Warren
Montrezl
Porzingis
Zion
Dipo
Kyrie
Was thinking of packaging either kyrie or Dipo with Porz and looking for a healthy 2nd rder
Thoughts? or should i just drop one of them, or hold them... 3 injured guys is too many, but couldn't just let kyrie in the FA
Lol how does that even happen...
I wouldn't drop any of those players. You can definitely trade kyrie to a top team that has an injury spot available.
If your sitting at top 4, I wouldn't even worry about trading those players. Because they should all be back in the next month and once they come back you will destroy your league.
Maybe explore trading either Zion or Dipo to see what value they may have. But honestly, consolidating your roster and just dropping Washington or Olynyk might be the best move. I have no clue how someone just drops Kyrie though lol. Is there not a waiver system for dropped players either?
I know... our group chat is demolishing the kid as we speak hahah. No waiver system (tried it the first couple of years, we like first come first serve more and I'm not complaining about it hahah).
If I was top 4 I wouldn't move a single guy either, and I like the rest of my team, but these next 3 weeks will be TOUGH with 3 inj players.
Look at your matchups for the next 3 weeks, see if your team is good enough to beat them with your injured players. Keep streaming players for categories you need until those players get back.
If that guy is giving up and just being an idiot and I was the commissioner, I would prob automatically put the player back on his team lol.
I am in the same boat as you at the moment, I have otto, zion and clarke all injured.
But, I am still demolishing other teams because they got some injured players too.
I will say this, if you can manage to wait until all your guys are healthy, you might not lose another week the rest of the year
I'm hoping that's true Mr. Besbris... the waiting part is what's killing me.
Has anyone ever done the 3-6 experiment in 9-cat?
I'm thinking of playing just Paul George or somebody like TJ Warren on like a monday (good fg and good FT) so that I can win both those cats and Turnovers and then sitting everyone for the rest of the week and losing 3-6 until the injured come back.
That way I minimize damage and release everyone when the rest come back.
I've been trying to compete, but with 3 out, it's very uphill hahahah
