Eh, in roto it's worth holding onto JV I think. Assuming it's a games-cap format, it doesn't kill you to hold an injured guy on your bench even with no IR.
That said, especially since it's 8-cat where JV isn't as valuable, I wouldn't totally blame you if you dropped him to chase Kornet's upside. (This is assuming there's truly no one on your roster more droppable than Val.)

Gotta hold JV, the proven asset. Kornet could go back to the bench any moment. Mitchell Robinson is a factor when he comes back. Kanter's situation is murky. Hold JV.
