Hello,
I have a keeper emergency on my hands in a very competitive 12-team 8 cat rotisserie league, and have a week left to decide. I have to choose one of the following :
Clint Capela in the 9th Round
Dario Saric in the 9th Round
James Johnson in the 10th Round
I'm worried about capela's FT% with the likely increase in touches. I'm worried about Saric's numbers with more mouths to feed, and the fact that he was really only rolling with half the team injured. And I'm confused about James Johnson's poor man's dray thing at age 30...
Would love to hear some folks perspectives, really stuck on this
Thanks
Michael
I think I'd go Johnson.
I think it's between Saric and Johnson. That Philly team has a lot of question marks and Embiid still hasn't proved that he can put together a healthy season which means Saric may have another opportunity to fill in and put up numbers. Johnson was just extended by the Heat and looks like he'll have the same role as last year. He's 30 going on 31 this season but his mileage is low. He also produced 1-1-1 on money counters in just under 28 minutes per game. Personally I'd go with Johnson because there are less variables when dealing with his production, but I do think Saric has some upside. Lack of Saric's shooting efficiency makes me wary though.
I like Johnson a lot, but Capella provides blks which become scarce quick. You can compensate early for your ft concern. Remember you don't have to be #1 in a cat. Let ft be your mediocre cat.
Capella by a country mile
It's between Johnson and Capela for me. It might depend on your team's needs. If there is a hole in your blocks and FG%, Capela will fill that perfectly. However, if you are well balanced already, I'd lean towards James Johnson who is a rotisserie monster.
James Johnson for me. It's not close. I'd take him at 7th in a normal draft.
