Looking great in his last two games and getting heavy minutes. He's got a diverse stat set and is lapping Trey Lyles and looking to have more upside than some of the other wings. You guys buying? I've grabbed him in a couple leagues.
He's available in that 16-teamer I posted about earlier (I went ahead and dropped Lyles to activate Collins). I'd love to add Juancho there but there's no one I can justify dropping for him. He's available in all of my 12-teamers as well but I don't have anyone I'm willing to drop on any of those teams either.
He had 30+ minutes in the two games before these last two, and didn't do much in those games despite the minutes. And Will Barton will eventually return so Juancho's probably not a long-term thing. So he'd be a "drop dead weight only" add for me.
I see what you mean with his other games at 30+, but he looks like he's getting more comfortable and ramping up. If he keeps this pace up, they'll be hard pressed to keep giving him minute. Even if he goes to the bench with Barton's return, Millsap is aging and trending down, I wouldn't be surprised if some of his and Barton's minutes go to Juan. With as diverse as his stat set looks these past two games, I'm rolling the dice on him where I can. I agree with your 16-team league, I wouldn't drop any of your players there, but he should probably be picked up in most leagues, even some standards. Depending on who your last guy on the roster is, he might we worth a look. I was about 5 seconds from grabbing him and dropping Bjelica in one of my leagues when another guy beat me to it.
Ok here's an interesting one I could actually consider: would you drop Quinn Cook for him in a 12-teamer? A guy who's productive now but who has an expiration date. Juancho probably has more value when Barton returns than Cook does when Steph returns.
I absolutely would make that move. When Curry comes back, Quinn will vanish. This Juancho kid may have actually carved a role out for himself. No guarantees, but I'd ride that over a guy with an expiration date like you said.
Ok, here's another. Would you drop E'Twaun Moore for him? This is in a 12-team roto where I have Will Barton stashed on my bench, so it might the ideal scenario for owning Juancho, since it means I'd have the Denver SF position covered. But, I also own Anthony Davis, and Moore is a very good handcuff to have for him, since he's pretty much guaranteed big usage whenever AD is out. Plus Moore already has minutes and usage right now with Payton out.
I'm leaning no, because I feel like the best-case scenario for Juancho is him doing what Moore is already doing right now anyway.
I picked him up in 2 spots, but also be aware that Barton's return will likely knock any of the more fringy guys out
