Hey Everyone, help appreciated for essentially a 9 cat keeper league. I can keep two of these 3 guys. There is no limit to how long I can keep someone, besides each year the round penalty increases a round:

James Johnson at 14th round.
Jrue Holiday at the 11th round.
Marquese Chriss at 14th round.

Chriss wouldn't be my selection until I saw where the dynasty rankings have him 16th!

Mm mm mm ... those are some seriously JUICY keeper choices. I'd go Johnson for sure, since he's almost a lock to be top-100, and maybe better. Then probably Jrue, since he's also a safe play in the top-80 or higher range. Chriss has upside, but he also could be a total mess if he doesn't improve on his decision-making. 'Course, you could keep Chriss for 4 years and still have some value, but only if he turns a corner.

You all here know my stance - take the safer plays where possible, and you have two guaranteed values, and one possible value.

James Johnson would be 100% for me. The toss-up is between Jrue and Chriss. I'd lean more towards Chriss, because of the situation in Phoenix. I don't see how he doesn't at least make top 100 this year, as I think the Suns are gonna want to push his development further after showing his potential upside from late last year. Also, to top it off, I don't like Jrue's injury history.. so there's that too.

It's Jrue and Chriss for me.

Johnson is 30 years old and has been a journeyman type player for most of his career until last year. He could be a flash in a pan as far as having that good of a year again. I want to see it again before I trust him. Also Winslow is healthy and Olynyk is no slouch.

Jrue is still in his prime and has consistent year after year production. Injury concern is there but he only missed games this past season to be with his wife. The season before he played 65 games. I admit I hate his current situation surrounded by three ball hogs. But who knows if that stays together past this season.

Chriss could be a huge dynasty steal because he is so young and still has a lot of room for growth. He was a big reason why I won a fantasy league last year because of his statistical diversity. It's rare to find a big man who gets you steals, blocks and threes.

James Johnson, 14th round and great stat set. He's always been efficient and his PER36 defensive numbers are consistent. Now that he has a clearer role and playing time he should be able to give you a steady 1-1-1.
