Melton was hyped up after the Crowder trade but outside of a game or two he’s been terrible. Thoughts?
He had a hand injury recently and is just in a slump. He’ll be fine. Crowder will lost value once Jimmy is back, he’s so up and down anyway. I’d stick with Melton... I have him too.
Would you rather have Dillon Brooks or Melton at this point?
In the same boat here, I have Melton in 3-4 leagues. I’d personally prefer his upside ROS over Brooks, he’s going to eventually have some games with a lot of steals so that’ll push his value up even if hes sitting around 10/4/4 averages.
That whole team has been horrific lately, for what it’s worth. I’m inclined to call Melton a streamer unless the grizz wake up here soon
Melton is only 22 years old, still trying to learn his way in the NBA, I would not call him overrated as a basketball player - as a fantasy player however, yes. Many people love him for the per36 numbers as he IS a per minute monster, but that doesn't always equate value. If you can afford to hold, I would wait and see who steps up, but otherwise drop!
With JJJ out Memphis is going to be in BIG trouble, its crazy to say but is BY FAR their best shooter/floor spacer. Think about this - Ja can't really shoot, Val can't really shoot, Anderson can't really shoot, IMO Brooks can barely shoot, Tyus is a PNR guy, Josh Jackson can't shoot, Melton can kind of shoot, this team is in big trouble.
What I'm saying is, it's going to be a tough go for the entire Grizzles team, they will fall out of playoffs quick!
