Hi all, first year playing and in a league that isn't actively sending trades and I'm struggling on my own to make one.
I'm in a 12 team 9 cat with a 1 game lead on second place, down 11 games from first. I'm punting %FG, and the first place team is leading my league in FG%,Reb, Blks and also has an 11-1 record in points. My roster leads the league comfortably in FTs and Assists with strong Pts and 3s numbers, I want to make a move for ST/Blocks/more Points/Reg. Season Rebounds, but plan on punting Rebs in the playoffs.
My roster:
Durant
Kemba
Lowry
Bledsoe
Lou Will
JRich
Lou Will
Barton
Prince
Bogdan
Satoransky
WCS
Kanter + Tim hardaway
My thought is I need to move/consolidate guards in a 2 for 1, and Lowry/Jrich/Prince/Kanter become movable. I've already sent a Lowry/Kanter trade for Jokic (lowball I suppose) and a Lowry/Gallo trade for Curry (this feels fair? overpay?), but I've been at a complete loss putting together a 2 for 1 trade that works. I'm also unclear with how to deal with Kanter/THJ getting crushed by the tank, and am kicking myself for not selling high earlier.
Any help or comments would be appreciated, thanks!
Oh and I'm bad at turnovers (4-8) but the top team is 3-9, so I'm leaning towards consolidating two TO heavy guards for a guy with less turnovers, but I'd also consider punting TOs to dominate the other categories if Dame/Russ/Harden is the best way to go
Lowry/Gallo is still a SUPER lowball offer for Curry.
You have to consider the 2-for-1 from a value standpoint. Meaning, yes, Gallo/Lowry together contribute more than Steph alone, but do they contribute more than Steph and some mysterious second player that a team can plug in? Doubt it.
The easiest way to gameplan is to treat a top-75 guy as worth about 1 round of value over whoever they're paired with. Call a top-50 guy about 2 rounds of value... depending a bit on what you're targeting of course. To get a top-5 guy, you'll likely need 2 top-25 guys or better.
