I am versing a great team for my final. He is a stacked with bigs (Davis, Drummond, Jordan) so his boards, FG% and Blocks are tough to beat. He is also loaded with assists. So, I am wondering how to get my 5th cat. I have points, 3ptm, FT% and probably steals sewn up. It is 9 cat so I need either turnovers or blocks. Are there any FA adds that are really going to help move the needle here?

It really depends on your league's depth and who are available in the FA pool. Barring anyone specific to add for blocks, I'd say Poeltl. That said, it might be better to go and win TOs. Meaning once you've locked assist, then transition to guards or swingmen who provide steals and threes but turn the ball over less, or sit your PGs.

Seems like if he's dominating assists, he might also be in rough shape in TOs, no?

Assists are 81 vs 53 in his favour
Turnovers are 36 vs 32 in favour

His assists guys have been amazing in generating assists without turnovers (Mack, Smith, Ullis, Rondo and Simmons)

I picked up Baz but was thinking of getting rid of him for Looney's back to back. I could pick up some blocks and decrease turnovers at the same time?

Seems like if we wait long enough his assist guys will eventually have a game where they crap the ball all over the court. I think I'd try to win TOs if I'm you and shore up the other 4 cats you're already in good position on.

Just an update... 2 days to go and I am winning 5-4. I have had my best ever fg% week and am up .528 to .516. The undecided stats are fg%, steals (I am up 12) and Turnovers (I am down 1).

I am thinking of resting my guys that are low fg% and high in turnovers (Prince for example). This will help me preserve the fg% and may end up in jagging turnovers as well.

What are your thoughts?

We need a DFS'er for this stuff. Look at matchups. Can these guys pop off in shooting numbers? Prince is awfully high in TOs, so maybe he's a rest candidate, but he's also a good steals dude. Weigh the good versus the bad.

Thank you Dan! I rested Prince today and that was a good move!

Tomorrow is D-Day!

I am now up in Turnovers by 5, Steals by 9 and fg% .524 to .511. The other cats are down so it's 6-3 in my favour

I am leaning towards playing 9 players tomorrow instead of 11 so I minimise my turonovers and guards. This will consolidate TO's and FG%.

Open to changes from my strategy below:

My roster is:

Teague
Paul
Murray
Moore
Jokic
Rabb
Capela
Kieff
Felicio

Not playing but could:

Bledsoe
Portis
Miro
Napier

His team is:

Rondo
Hart
Ish Smith
Trey Burke
Marshoon
B Simmons
Allen
Davis
Saric
Jordan
Drummond

Well Drummond is out, so he loses one of his FG% push guys. DeAndre will probably only play half a game, too. He should have more TOs than you, or at least it should be quite close.

Do you have anyone playing in a 7:30pm start game that you could make a later decision on? It looks like your whole roster might be in the early chunk.

He has replaced Drummond with Henson.

I have Paul, Capela and Napier in the later games

I am torn on Bledsoe... he could help wrap up steals but do I compromise the other 2 cats

Well, you only need to win 5-4, so...
