My league settings are a tad different than normal 9-cat. We are a 10 team H2H Daily changes 11 category league (8 cat Plus O-reb, FGM, FTM).
I planned on taking Dame at 6 but last night I got the idea of taking a bit of a risk and hopefully reaping the benefits.
Would it be insane to take Joel Embiid at 6 instead?!?! With our league settings, he was the number 1 player in totals for the first month and he was around a whopping 270ish pounds at the time. 64 games played at 33 mpg putting up 28, 14, 4, & 2 blocks also, more importantly, shooting 10 FTA on 80% and not having turnovers as a category. He is set to play in almost every game including most back-to-backs if healthy. With health being the biggest factor, a ton of weight has been lifted off of those knees now that he is around 250lbs. If that allows him to even get to 70-74 games and not have the knee bother him as it did early march, he may surpass #6 in per game and maybe even totals if he misses less than 10 games.
Just a thought, wondering if it is a bit too risky. Would love to hear what you think!

I definitely think you are crazy if you think Embiid can reach 74 games. Since it's a 10 teamer there's a decent chance you could get him coming back in the second round.
Knowing my league mates, I know they won't let him fall to me at 15 with all the hype last year. I know if he were to go at 10/11 and play 70 and that owner paired him with say, Beal, I may regret not taking him. We'll just have to see it first.
He ain't getting to 74. Philly is a top-2 seed in the East - they need him healthy for the playoffs. I expect 70 max, probably high 60's target... thus, 6 is too early for that. Especially in h2h.
I agree with the team. H2H league makes it rough to take Embiid at 6. I would go with Dame.
Reg season isn't where they need him playing every game. Even less motivation for Philly to push him now that they have Horford to fill in and Harris to slide to PF if need be.
