Hi guys,

I'am in a H2H 14 teams dinasty, bid system league.

I came back in this league last year after winning it 3 times when it was a roto league, snake draft.

Some teams are really strong, due to past trade and good choice (ex: The winner of last year had A.Davis, S.Curry, Vucevic, Mitch Robinson and Siakam among others in the same team). So very hard to win.

Today, my main players are P. Georges and JJJ and some good veterans (Gasol, Conley, Bledsoe, O. Porter Jr). But i feel like my roster construction is more fit for roto than H2H (i won 3 times this league in the roto system).

I want to adopt a more oriented H2H strategy. So with keepers system... i need to find new way. The best players are already keepers (6 keepers by team)
The context is set, now the question.

What do you think of punting BLK? I would bid or trade on high FT, high rebound player with low blk.
There is not a lot of that guy (Jokic, Kanter, Love, Collins, Randle) so it's a bit tricky to execute. But i like the idea.

Sorry for my tentative english. 😉

Hi Pierre
I think you may be onto something. Given your current roster construction punting blocks may be a good strategy. I have punted a category before and was successful doing it so I know you can win that way. The key if you punt a category is you must win the categories that you focus on winning. Make sure every pick falls into the plan to dominate a group of categories by punting just one. It has to be a complete sell out plan. If you get wishy washy on some of the picks it can blow up on you. Stay focused and meticulously stay with your plan and it can be a winning one.
Good luck!

I'am studiyng multiple options.

Another option would be to tank FT% (at least and maybe another cat). A classic!

I do like this option because FT% is a big factor in "bigs" evaluation. So it would be a lot more easy to choose bigs.

I do like Ben Simmons in that strategy. A big pop corn guy with bad FT%. Do you think, i should go hard after him?

For me, FT% less, the roster needs to be strong on FG%.

To get Simmons, i would have to trade because he will likely be keeper. This is the hard part.

I would strongly recommend not tanking more than 1 category. I have never seen that strategy work in all the years I have played in leagues. If you are going to tank any category remember that you have to make up those points by dominating some other categories. Based on your roster I would stick with the idea of tanking blocks and constructing the remainder of your roster with that in mind. Te other option is to grab someone that's a shot blocker and try to survive that category without hurting yourself elsewhere. It's not easy but a well designed plan can bring you home a championship!
