Build vs. games played.

I have this problem every year. Do I sacrifice games played for build? I know its ideally both, however doesnt always work like that.

For example, should I trade a guy like Harrell( great playoff sched) for a guy w less gp, but better for my ft% if that's one of my cats?

Just general philosophy if someone wouldnt mind musing.

Thanks!

First you have to make the playoffs. For that goal at least through all star break I tend to go for highest ranked player because so much changes week to week, I feel like trying to win 5-4 in specific cats is chasing too much.

That said, as I become more experienced and see team builds more clearly, yes if Harrell is bringing down your ft pct in a category you need to win each week, dump him for lesser value/worse playoff schedule soon. Especially with ft pct because a good schedule could be a negative.

So to finish musing, if you are feeling solid about your chance of making the playoffs or feel the best way to reach the playoffs is to dominate ft pct every week, dump Harrell. But his strong all around play is more important in almost any non black and white scenario.

Yeah it's definitely a thing you ant to try to balance, as hard as it can be.

In your case, if Harrell is consistently losing you FT%, you have to consider trading him, even for fewer games.

If he isn't, then you can keep him.

Personally, for the one Trez that I have, he is dining my FTs a lot , and he's the only big offender so I'm trying to trade him. There are still several months left so I don't think you have to rush to trade him, but if he starts getting 20 & 7s soon, that's the time.
