To pile on with the Gobert questions, I'd like to throw one in for my 16 team keeper. This league is deep and dumb.
What are your thoughts on trading Gobert (3rd round) for Capela (8th round) in a league where the keepers are kept by round?
My team's struggling and it's looking like a lost season, so I'm partially thinking ahead to next season. I think Capela can maintain a top 20 ranking but obviously when healthy Gobert is the better player.
However, if I went through with this trade, it would open up a 3rd round pick for me next season as opposed to that spot being filled with my Gobert pick. So I'm kind of looking at it like Gobert + an 8th round pick vs Capela + a 3rd round pick.
Thoughts? Thanks!
I think I'd do it. Capela is playing well above 8th round value, and Gobert's best case is to play about a round above 3rd. And with as well as Capela is playing now it doesn't totally mortgage this season.
Dang, my proposal got shot down quickly. Not sure if I should throw in a healthy player or assume he doesn't want to trade Capela. I wish people would leave notes when rejecting an offer more often.
It's always best to just email the other owner instead of shotgunning trades out. It's much more efficient.
