I'm in seventh place this season, just outside of the playoffs, after winning last year's championship. Willie Hernangomez & Richaun Holmes played a big part in last year's run, so I've been hesitant to drop either player. Any chance either will get more minutes or is it time to move on? Replacement choices on the waiver wire are Devonta Davis, Jarell Martin, Zach Collins, Daniel Theis. Not the best options, but better than another week of DNP. Thanks for the help!
Zach Collins is the most intriguing pickup. That said, the keeper value of Hernangomez is still high in my book. I think Hernangomez has a better long-term outlook over the next 3 seasons. Holmes, while a fan fave, is wallowing in a quagmire of lack of playing time and games played behind a future minutes hog in a now-healthier Embiid.
I’m a big fan of Holmes but this season regardless of embiids health the sixers don’t seem to want to play/trust him with big minutes so I don’t see him holding massive value until embiid fully breaks.
