Your H2H strategy and team build would play a role..If ur punting ft or 3s Giannis weaknesses disappear.9cat kawhi would probably end up witha higher rank but has the rest risk during fabtasy playoffs. But especially this year I like Giannis more and he might win MVP this year too.

Yeah my problem is I'm currently in 1st in FT% and 3PTM and 3rd in TOs, so I'm not punting those. I just finished taking a detailed look at it.

My current ranks through week 9 are: FG% - 9th, FT% - 1st, 3PTM - 1st, PTS - 3rd, REB - 8th, AST - 6th, STL - 3rd, BLK - 8th, TO - 3rd

After the trade I would rank: FG% - 7th, FT% - 4th, 3PTM - 2nd, PTS - 3rd, REB - 4th, AST - 3rd, STL - 3rd, BLK - 7th, TO - 8th

So it would be a big bump in FG%, REB, AST and a slight bump in BLK
For a big drop in FT%, TOs and slight drop in 3PTM.

I calculated roto standings and I'm currently in 1st with 75 points. After the trade I'd have 76 points.

I've generally been losing FG%, REB, BLK most weeks.

Agreed; you have to be punting cats to get Giannis to be the equal of Kawhi in category formats. It's understandable to be worried about Kawhi missing games in h2h playoff leagues, but if you're going to trade him straight up for a more durable player who's a fairer value in 9-cat, Towns would be a better target (though the Wolves only have a 3-3-3 playoff sched).

This guy also owns Towns, so that could be convenient.

He won't do Towns, just Giannis, so that's out. Back to wrestling with this one I can't make up my mind. Giannis is terrible at 3s, FT%, and TOs, but I'm also one of the best teams in each of those and would still be 2nd in 3s and 4th in FT% if I made the move for Giannis. He'd obviously help a lot in FG%, REB, AST, BLK. I'm 3rd fewest in TOs on the season but I'm 5-4 in that category, so it hasn't really been a strength.

Is it worth going from the best team in FT% and 3s to just one of the best and get a huge boost in FG%, REB, AST, BLK and punt TOs? When I look at it like that I start to lean yes. You also don't have to worry about Giannis resting in the playoffs or B2Bs.

If you're trading from an area of huge strength, I sorta get it, but you also want to make sure you don't give up your strengths to create a bunch of stuff where you're just 'okay'...
