With the uncertainty of his future and a possible trade looming, sources say that the Bucks have expressed interest in trading for Eric Bledsoe. Personally, I own both Middleton and Bledsoe in my league, so my question is:
Assuming Middleton isn't involved in a trade, should it occur, how much would the addition of EB hurt/help the value of Middleton.
I suppose this discussion could also be expanded to best/worst case trading destinations/fantasy implications for Bledsoe. What's the consensus?
I think either Nuggs or Bucks would be a good fit. He's truly a 2 guard so not having to do PG duties may help his efficiencies and let him focus on defensive stats. I own him with Greek Freak so i'd like to see him in Milwaukee. Buck playoff schedule is great in my league.
From looking at the depth charts in the draft guide - Ideal landing spots would be
* Denver
* Chicago
* New York
* Clippers (maybe..)
* Indiana
* Miami
* Milwaukee
* San Antonio
* Detroit
Phoenix would want young players / picks back.
I think a trade would most likely happen after the date when players that signed at the start of the season can be traded. It used to be around December 15th but may be earlier since the season started early.
This means Bledsoe will be on ice for a while. I got a blank now but it would be a similar rotation to what they had last season when Bledsoe was shut down and Knight was unavailable.
Middleton and Bledsoe should retain similar value if Bledsoe ends up in Milwaukee. I think it would hurt Brogdon a bit, but Giannis is going to be the #1 guy no matter what. Can't do anything except hold on to those guys.
In regards to Bledsoe's value, it should not change THAT much from what he was earlier. He is a good player period (dubbed mini Lebron for a reason) and you just gotta hold him for now and treat it like an injury - hopefully sites put him as Injured (Personal) soon.
There's no way they wait until December to make a trade. Dude will be gone within the week.
Speculating can be fun. Tough to see him in a place where he's THE GUY as hard as he was in PHX. But anything is better than zeroes, right?
It's potentially better than getting benched in favor of developing youngsters or sat for entire quarters in blowouts. Will be interesting to see what happens. I also don't see them taking much time making this move, I believe they get it sorted out quick.
I hope they do. I hope he doesn't lose too much value as I got him as my 5th pick in my draft.
