Hello Hoop-Ballers!
I completed my first draft of the season last night. This is a Yahoo 12 team, 9 cat roto Winner league (everyone drafting won a public league last year, and you can only join one Winner league). Profiles showed that 8 of the 12 players were veteran fantasy players (2 silver, 2 gold, 1 platinum, 3 diamond).
I love doing mock drafts, but there's nothing like the real thing, and getting sniped (Collins, Prince, Collison, D. Murray, Ariza annd Cousins were all stolen from me, thieves!).

I also have the sixth pick in an upcoming draft. What made you pick Curry over KD? I was/am leaning towards KD.
In mocks this year, it has been really hard to get two good point guards. They don't fall at all. I know people say big men are hard to come by, but so far I've had more success getting PGs early, then bigs, then filling in the gaps. Curry missed games last year, but he was healthy 5 years in a row before that. KD hasn't had a healthy season 4 years running. So I'm betting Curry is healthy this year. And, I think that KD getting Finals MVP twice will fuel Curry to a great season this year! I was expecting to get one of the two, and I'd have been fine with KD.
I feel like you got strong values basically through the top-100, so that's a nice spot to be in!
I might use these results on a podcast, too, depending on timing. Good stuff!
1 - Did you go Marc Gasol instead of Gobert/Green because of the ft%? Or you just value him higher? I'm having trouble trusting Gasol this year
2 - You drafter Gasol, Turner then round 5 went for another C. Calculated or just happened to be the best player available?
3 - Had a Kanter x Adams decision(or you could even say Kanter x Adams x Lopez x Whiteside). Got Kanter just because the ft%? Adams seems to be more stable in every category except the ft%.

Solid squad, Shawn Kemp owner is cray cray Nance Jr 50th overall, Van Vleet 74th overall. Not a fan of his DLO Russell and Me7o picks, he won the lottery having Davis fall to 2nd in 9 cat but like some lottery winners he appears to have squandered his riches.

Yes, I wanted a big that would not wreck my FT%. I don't think Gasol is a bigger health risk than Gobert or Green (I considered both, and Capela).
Yes, I wanted good bigs if those I liked were available. I considered other players at each of those picks, but the players I would have drafted over them were taken before me (Middleton, Booker; Collins, Derozan, Bledsoe, etc.). So I was fine going for bigs several picks in a row.
Kanter because of his countings stats and %s. He's super safe, while also having the opportunity to produce even more than last year. I think Adams is a great real life player, but I don't like his FT% in roto.
