With Capela injured, my PFs are looking super thin with Jonathan Isaac leading the charge lol...I'm looking to shore up my PF for a playoff push, but am curious who of these 3 will have the best combination of both future and current value. My 3 targets are the following.
-DeMarcus Cousins
-Myles Turner
-Jaren Jackson Jr.
Any help or advice would be appreciated!
Myles Turner is absolutely killing it this year and I like his future outlook and present production the most, but I'd rather have JJJ if we're looking more into the future. JJJ is a monster on defense and Boogie has too many question marks for me to really see the appeal in dynasty leagues - he's also the worst of the three currently.
Fair enough, the JJJ owner has already expressed interest in the deal so I might just go that route, plus it's easier for me to trust a rookie than to trust Myles Turner, even though Oladipo is out and Turner has indeed been eating lately.
If you're looking for production this year, Myles is the guy to go for. His blocks rate is sustainable and his rebounding has improved lately. There's a good chance Myles finishes first in blocks per game.
JJJ isn't getting enough minutes to match Myles in rebounding and he's playing alongside Marc Gasol. Future value I like JJJ as a top-30 guy but Myles is already that right now. However there's some doubts from me as to him maintaining that block rate into next season.
I would say that if you are trying to win this year then Turner. For long term I would grab JJJ.
Good luck!
