I had just won my dynasty league for the second time and went back to back. I have been on the fence about rebuilding or trying to grind out another season with the main core I currently have. I did not think I was even going to make the playoffs in my 12-team 9 cat H2H league prior to the ASB. I was convinced to grind it out by the guy I ended up beating in the championship 5-4 by .002% (fg%). Now I'm trying to figure out what I want to do and would like advice before I move forward.

Current Roster:
Lebron James, Russell Westbrook, Devin Booker, Andre Drummond, Brook Lopez, Lou Williams, Paskal Siakam, Willie Cauley-Stein, Joe Harris, Delon Wright, Dwight Powell, Moe Harkless, Michale Porter Jr (IR)
Picked up Trevor Ariza and Zhiare Smith after the season

I have been talking to the guy who has the number 1 pick in our rookie draft this summer and he is interested in Booker + Drummond for the number one pick (I'm a huge Zion fan) + one of his players (I'm thinking Doncic, Ayton, Robinson would be my main targets)

his roster:
Donovan Mitchell, Evan Fournier, Gordon Hayward, Luca Doncic, Jarrett Allen, DeAndre Ayton, Jalen Brown, Kyle Kuzma, Mitchell Robinson, Buddy Hield, Tomas Satoransky, Mo Bamba, Malcolm Brogdon, Dejaunte Murray, Lonnie Walker IV

Hey crebuck2308,
I would make that trade in a heart beat. I'm not even sure your win now status takes a hit if you get Zion and a second player like Ayton or Robinson.
In most of my dynasty leagues it would take allot more to get Zion. If you can get him at that price I would jump on it.
Also, you mentioned that you're a big Zion fan. What could be better then having your favorite player on your team.
it's an easy decision. Go get ZION!
Good luck & Cheers,
Adrian

YoAdrian,

Thanks for the reply. I've been on the fence about the trade for a while. While we were in the playoffs and we were making progress but I was more focusing on winning the league again. Haven't heard much from him since the offseason started but I have a feeling it is going to take some work to get the deal done but I would love to have Zion. Sometimes you just need to hear it from somebody else to help you make your decision.
Thanks again Adrian

Great to see a question in the forum!! The reason you have such a great team and have some rings is because you are working on your team now when everyone else is snoozing! Love it!
I would only trade Booker & Drummond for Zion AND either Luka or Ayton. Don't overpay for Zion. Booker is a 10+ year all-star and Drummond has improved his game to an elite level. If you can get Zion and either Luka or Ayton you have to do it because you will be set for the next decade.
Stay in touch as the draft and free agency change the landscape.
Good luck!

Thanks for the reply Coach. I haven't really broken down the numbers but I think rebuilding my team surrounding Zion and Ayton would be great. Love Luka but I question his %ages and turnovers. I want to continue to focus on keeping my fg% high and work on improving my ft% (which I feel like I lost almost every week between Drummond, Russ, and LBJ). I'm going to work on him as far as getting a pretty fair trade for the two of us. But to have an edge up on the other teams in the league you have to keep up with the changing NBA landscape year round! I love winning money lol

Nothing wrong with bringing home the $$$$!
I'm here if you want to run any of those trade offers by me. There is NO off season in my book 🙂

Coach,
I’ve been working on the trade mentioned above but talks haven’t really went anywhere unfortunately. However, he did make a suggestion that was pretty appealing to me:

Give:
Devin Booker
my first round pick in the rookie draft (12th)

Get:
Mitchell Robinson
Buddy Hield or Jaylen Brown — I would probably take Buddy.

Thoughts on this? I’m leaning towards taking it. It’s a 9-cat H2H Dynasty league. Not much has changed to the rosters listed above.
