Hi,

I was thinking about drafting Myles Turner on a dynasty league. The thing is this... I'll make it short:

are big guys, with big-guy stats generally less durable (blocks, rebounds trending down rather quickly with the years) than guards?

The scarcity of big vs. small guy stats as far as dynasty leagues are concerned depends on upcoming draft classes. For example, the top 2-3 prospects of 2018 are forwards. However, if you look at the trend in the league it leans towards small-ball. So guards, and stretch bigs will be in greater abundance as teams draft those types of players.

That's an interesting question -- one would assume guards have longer careers, but sometimes there are guys that defy time and just keep boarding and blocking. Turner is so young, I don't think it's going to be a problem for you for at least a few seasons.

If you are worried about scarcity, Myles is as rare as they come. Standard big-guy stats are generally points, rebounds, blocks and FG%. With Myles, you get all that plus great FT%, decent steals and a generous dose of triples. So if he wanes in some category's over time, he has a lot in his suitcase to fall back on. Come over and join the Myles High Club.
