I'm in a Yahoo std 12 team/9 cat. Hardaway is killing my fg% lately. I'm fighting for a Playoff bye week, so I cant afford the dead weight. I've got Bender/Marcus Morris/Harrison/Portis on waivers. Should I end the agony and drop him?

P.S. I've tried to trade him for a bag of used gum and no one wants him.

As a Hardaway owner I feel your immense pain here. I am still holding till the end of this two week matchup, although I have him on the bench for tonight. I want to see if the week off for the all-star break clears his head and helps him heal up. I don't want to make the cut now and have him come out of the all star break and hit 10/15 shots with 6 three pointers on the waiver wire and be the top recommended pickup.

I dropped Hardaway in two leagues for Bullock and his more efficient game. You can go Morris or Portis for a FG% swing

I'm sure his shooting will improve, but he struggles / forces difficult shots when he doesn't have a better player alongside him. Could see him shooting sub 42% the rest of the way on high volume so it's tough. I've got him in a few leagues and as you say above - his trade value is negligible, so it's really a matter of whether you can find a nice pickup that fits you better.

TIMMAY YOU'RE KILLING US MAN!

I think Portis needs to be owned, so if you must, you must. I can't drop a guy that should see a regression and start dropping 30ppg, though...

I have this same dilemma. Fg% is a killer and not doing much else at the moment and Bullock was just made available but I think I'm gonna wait until after the break on that weekend to decide what to do next. He's a tough drop because of what he can possibly do.

My worry though is that he's supposedly the de facto #1 and will get more attention which would also hurt some stats.

Well, I didn't realize as I was writing the above but THJ has 5 3s and 32 pts and only the 3rd quarter.

All you other Hardaway owners can send your thanks this way, I benched him for the first time all season yesterday to break him out of the slump.
