Turning the corner and proof is in the pudding. Buy low window close to being gone.
If i’ve learned anything from Dan these past few weeks, it’s that this is EXACTLY what were wanting to happen w Draymond’s value. He’s 100% a sell high, and I think I would take really any top-65 guy for him. He’s going to miss a ton of games, the warriors are in full tank mode and have no incentive to push him.
He not going to be shut down. He’ll miss a game or two here or there because they will rest him. He’s still the leader of GSW.
I just don't think he will be playing for anything important late in the season when it matters in fantasy. I definitely shy away from any stink of a slim chance of it late in the season.
No ones playing for anything on the warriors. Doesn’t mean he won’t be productive heading into the tail end of the season. But yes point taken on missing games when in fantasy playoffs.
We have no idea what will happen, what is relevant enough for me to trade him. I would nit trade him for a top-90, but a top 60 is definitely worth
Would you trade Dray for D-Lo? Would you trade him for melo?
Dray ranked 28 last season with very similar stats. This biggest change this season you're saying is that he may be "shut down" towards the end of the season. How do you define shutdown? A few games of rest vs. not playing for a stretch is a very big difference. I highly doubt Kerr completely shuts him down especially with the likelihood that Steph WILL play at some point this year.
Net/net, what does this mean for his value? I think top 60 is very realistic barring injury and given he misses a couple of games here and there. Hence, not a clear sell high player like what everyone on here is suggesting.
It's a good discussion - I think the fact that we're starting to see some value is a nice opportunity to get out from under the risk factors. Don't sell for a waiver wire scrap - we have enough body of work to shoot for something better. I still think top-60/70 range is a pretty reasonable target. There are a lot of good players in that range. Also I have Dray at #58 last year, not 28...
#28 per Yahoo 9cat. Last season stats below:
.445 FG%, .692 FT%, 0.7 3PT, 7.4 Pts, 6.9 Ast, 1.4 Steals, 1.1 Blocks, 2.6 TO
Yahoo's past-ranks are broken. It shows him as #28 last year, the previous year, the year before that ...
Use Basketball Monster's previous year ranks ... he was 58 last season.
Fair enough. Would you trade Dray for Davis Bertans?
