When you look at projections for the up coming season to do your draft let's use only redraft H2H as the example, do you guys draft based on per game or totals?
H2H I'm usually looking at per-game and then considering end-of-season injury risk. And, of course, if someone is a MONSTER injury risk, then you have to consider totals for those situations. But guys generally fall into pretty clear "plays most games" and "doesn't play most games" so the totals category is definitely important, but the games played aspect is a LITTLE bit of a crapshoot for guys inside each of those buckets.
I prepare two tabs on my spreadsheet. One with per-game and the other with totals.
I use per-game as a base sheet but note the differences in the rankings of both filters and make notes regarding the reasons why there are X and Y discrepancies.
A shorthand would be basing off per-game and bumping up guys who had high totals as a reward once the final new rankings are being set.
Hope it helps.
GREAT info guys!!! This has open my eyes even more
I do almost the identical thing that Erik does. I think with all things considered that type of approach should be the most beneficial for you.
Good luck!
