New to the site/community, but have been playing fantasy for a few years and ended up here due to AB. Could use some advice cause I've been thinking about my draft results for a while now...12 team, H2H, 9cat.
Question 1: How would you rate this draft?
Question 2: Where do I focus my improvement opportunities (should I bother with assists or fortify other areas)?
Pick 1 (Never get 1st pick!): KAT (a huge part of me wishes I went with Giannis!)
Pick 24 (2nd round): Myles Turner (couldn't believe he fell)
Pick 25 (3rd round): Jimmy Butler (really really couldn't believe he fell, wasn't super hot on drafting two of my top 3 from the same team but felt I couldn't pass on Jimmy)
Pick 48 (4th round): Dennis Shroder (here is where I realized that most great PGs are taken by this point)
Pick 49 (5th round): Victor Oladipo
Pick 72 (6th round): Jusuf Nurkic
Pick 73 (7th round): Gary Harris
Pick 96 (8th round): Danilo Gallinari
Pick 97 (9th round): Marquese Chriss
Pick 120 (10th round): Rondae HJ
Pick 121 (11th round): Greg Monroe
Pick 144 (12th round) Kyle Kuzma
Pick 145: Mo Harkless
I feel like I'm really weak at the PG spot...and assist wise may be falling behind (amongst other things). :
Your top 3 picks are absolutely dominant. Those guys will win you a handful of cats weekly that other teams simply can't find.
Schroder is your guy to trade. He is overvalued in 9-cat leagues because of big scoring, but his efficiency, lack of defensive stats and 3's and high TO rate are going to drag him down. And since he's basically your only assist guy, you could conceivably work on powering up other categories like 3's and blocks to really put a dent into the opposition.
Thanks for the solid advice. I'll scan the rest of the draft and see if I can find a good fit to trade for (I like the idea of fortifying 3s, blocks, and rebs if possible). Appreciate it!
