My last draft is tomorrow (Long story).1 week in we are now getting a small picture of where guys stand.
I have the 10th pick in a 9 cat H2h 10 teamer.
Any advice on who I could take on the 10-11 picks? is drummond worth a shot? Maybe a kyrie/drummond combo? or is Butler/Kyrie or Beal/Butler a killer pairing? Is there someone else im not seeing?
Having the last pick is tough, but at least in a 10 team league there are still really good players on the board. I like the Drummond/ Kyrie pairing. Drummond has started the season on an absolute tear. Otherwise good wing players - Leonard (if still on the board), Butler will be good, Beal as well. Obviously, if any of the top 7 guys drop then pounce.
Definitely Leonard if he's still there. Him and Drummond together would be dangerous. I ended up with Drummond/Lillard. Andre started shooting incredible free throws and was over 80 percent his first two games....then he shot 30 percent in game three. At his volume that is REALLY hard to overcome. I also have guys like Love, Rubio and Smart and am still losing the ft percentage handily. Having said that, Andre's nightly upside is crazy high. If the rest of your team can be monsters at ft% I'd absolutely go that way.
Drummond/Kyrie would be a similar situation, however I'm not sure on Irving's durability, Butler too..
Come playoff time I'd be a little nervous about Beal or Butler.
In my league someone took PG13 super high (pick 6!!!!). I never would have done that but if he gets back to form, especially by playoff time, that manager might get the last laugh......if he can MAKE the playoffs that is.
