Does this trade sound totally ludicrous if punting points?

Madness. Don’t negotiate against yourself. Your opponent doesn’t know what you’re punting so no reason to sell a star for pennies because he’s a bad fit

True but Isaac is one of, if not the, best point punts player and is already ranked in Embiids neighborhood in the total and average rankings. Should I getting a better return or go after different players?

This is exactly why i advocate against looking at punt x rankings. People get so confused.

Lets say you really love the super unpopular mustard yellow car colour that noone else wants. And the dealer has one on sale 20% off standard list price.

Would you walk in and offer 20% above standard list price just because you really like it?

Use punt ranks as a tool to identify guys who fit your build. Trade/Draft based on how the market values them, using normal ranks!

Yes but I feel like that’s what I’m doing here. Isaac is ranked top 10 in our league right now, and Embiid is valued as such as well based on draft position. The manager has expressed that he thinks this is more of a 1-1 trade but he understands he has to throw in something with Isaac. So now, with Isaac meaning way more for my team, I pressure him to include RoCo who also fits the build. I guess Isaac isn’t being valued very highly the trade markets of other leagues here? Anyone feel free to chime in

Dont forget you are trading on future performance. Isaac wont be top 10 for the whole season, maybe top 30. You are effectively giving away a top 10 stud in Embiid for a couple top 30s in Isaac and Roco.

Personally I'd strongly consider it. Not a popular opinion around here I know.
Embiid will likely screw you with DNP's, especially come playoff time.
What good is a top ten player if they don't play?

A couple of years ago I traded Durant for Klay and Jokic. Definitely won me the league that year......

I'm mostly playing devil's advocate here. However, the one year I drafted AD he was a beast all year, won me categories single-handed several times. Then the playoffs came around and he was suddenly hurt and didn't help me at all.

Appreciate all the opinions here. My team is weird build right now, I always check the the leagues total stats in each category and week by week. I’ve been dead last in points and FG% all three weeks, while while being top 3 in threes, blocks, steals, and FT%. So I feel like Embiid doesn’t support this build as much as Isaac and RoCo. I know this trade looks on paper, but asking those on here to consider it the true context of a points punt strategy and doubling down on my strengths.
