Player News:
Clint Capela (illness) is not listed on the injury report for Tuesday's game vs. the Spurs.
Capela has missed two straight games, but was able to practice with the team on Monday and is expected to suit up Tuesday night.
Michael Carter-Williams is available to play. He’s likely limited to some degree, but if he re-joins the rotation then he’ll take some guard/wing run. Less extreme minutes for DJ Augustin, Markelle Fultz, Evan Fournier and Terrence Ross should be expected.
Coach Erik Spoelstra said Dion Waiters will "probably" be active Tuesday vs. Raptors.
Waiters finished serving his 10-game suspension last week and is back with the Heat. However, he was inactive on Sunday vs. the Nets. With Goran Dragic (strained right groin) set to miss at least the next two games, Waiters may have a chance to exit the doghouse.
Coach Erik Spoelstra said that Goran Dragic (strained right groin), who has already been ruled out of Tuesday's game in Toronto, won't play Wednesday in Boston either.
After learning of Dragic's injury, it's certainly not surprising that the Heat have ruled him out of both ends of their upcoming back-to-back. Hamstring injuries can linger, especially if not allowed to heal fully. Kendrick Nunn, Tyler Herro and Justise Winslow should all see an uptick in playing with Dragic sidelined. Dion Waiters is also expected to be activated for Tuesday's contest.
Coach Steve Clifford said that Mo Bamba (leg) will play Tuesday vs. the Wizards and may play Wednesday vs. the Suns as well.
Bamba has been sitting out one game of back-to-back sets to help him deal with soreness in his left leg, which he injured last season. We should get an update on his status for Wednesday following this evening's contest.
John Henson (right hamstring) will be available to play Tuesday against Detroit.
Henson has been sidelined since Oct. 26, the second night of the season. He is expected to make his return to action against Andre Drummond and the Pistons on Tuesday evening.
Gary Trent Jr. (right hamstring strain) is probable for Tuesday's game vs. the Clippers.
Trent has missed each of the Blazers' previous three contests but is on track to return to action Tuesday night.
Nicolas Batum hyper-extended the finger on his left hand that he previously fractured on Monday vs. the Suns.
He left the game after 11 minutes and never returned, finishing with four points, two rebounds and one steal. X-rays came back negative, but it's possible that he's looking at some time on the shelf. Dwayne Bacon was headed for a DNP-CD before Batum left the game, but finished with six points, four rebounds and zero turnovers in 16 minutes.
LaMarcus Aldridge remains questionable Tuesday.
Kyle Kuzma listed probable for Tuesday.
Kuzma and Anthony Davis (shoulder) are listed probable prior to Tuesday's game. The Lakers have listed Davis probable for nearly a month and he has played nine straight games despite the probable tag. Kuzma hasn't missed a game since making his season debut.
Anthony Davis listed probable for Tuesday.
Davis and Kyle Kuzma (ankle) are listed probable prior to Tuesday's game. The Lakers have listed Davis probable for nearly a month and he has played nine straight games despite the probable tag, and Kuzma hasn't missed a game since making his season debut.
JaMychal Green questionable for Tuesday.
Green is questionable for Tuesday's game after suffering a tailbone contusion during Sunday's win. Teammate Rodney McGruder (hamstring) remains out.
Moritz Wagner listed questionable for Tuesday.
Wagner is listed questionable in advance of Tuesday's game. He sat out of Sunday's loss with a sprained ankle and it was Rui Hachimura who saw the backup center minutes behind Thomas Bryant.
Kyle Lowry listed doubtful for Tuesday.
Lowry is listed doubtful in advance of Tuesday's game as he continues to recover from a fractured thumb. He said earlier in the day that the fracture still hasn't fully healed and his return is a "day-to-day" thing.
Cedi Osman listed questionable for Tuesday.
Osman is listed questionable in advance of Tuesday's game with a sore back. Kevin Porter Jr. would likely draw the start at small forward if he has to miss time.
Kenrich Williams ruled out for Tuesday.
Williams remains out for his second straight game on Tuesday as he continues to deal with a sprained ankle. The Pelicans will continue to roll a smaller lineup in his absence with Brandon Ingram at power forward.
Jerami Grant listed probable for Tuesday.
Grant is listed probable in advance of Tuesday's game due to illness.
Danuel House listed questionable for Tuesday.
House is officially listed questionable for Tuesday due to an illness. Clint Capela (illness) has been removed from the injury report after missing the previous two games.
Thanks Coach, you’re a bloody legend. Great work on the solo pod today as well!
Baller fan from upside down
LaMarcus Aldridge (sore right thigh) has been ruled out of Tuesday's game vs. the Rockets.
Aldridge was able to participate in shootaround Tuesday morning, so there was some hope that he'd be available. However, LMA will miss his second straight game on Tuesday night. The Spurs were blown out on Sunday vs. Detroit, but Jakob Poltl did log a team-high 26 minutes. Expect Poltl to see plenty of playing time vs. the Rockets on Tuesday as well.
Thanks Tom!! Legend in my own mind anyway! 🙂
Thomas Bryant to miss time
Not good. Stress reactions are tricky injuries that can only heal with prolonged rest, and it's not like Bryant will be in any rush to return to the 6-12 Wizards. Moritz Wagner (ankle) is questionable for Tuesday's game, and if he can't play, Davis Bertans could be forced into heavy minutes as a starter tonight. Wagner should see a sizable uptick in minutes once he's cleared, though, and he makes sense as a speculative grab in most leagues. Per nba source
Also, Moritz Wagner (left ankle) will not suit up for Tuesday's game against the Magic. Bertrand is expected to take on significant role as well
