Early player news:
Enes Kanter (left knee contusion) will not play on Saturday against the Spurs.
His injury is keeping him out way longer than expected, especially after getting a practice in earlier this week. Kanter should still be back soon and those who have held him for this long should probably keep him around for the next few days. Daniel Theis should get the start again with minutes in the 20s while Robert Williams has some value as a backup.
Coach Mike D'Antoni said that Eric Gordon (hamstring) is "good to go" for Saturday's game vs. the Bulls.
Gordon initially suffered the injury late in Monday's win over Memphis. He did not play on Wednesday against the Warriors, but it appears it will be just a one-game absence. Nonetheless, Gordon has been incredibly inefficient on the offensive end this season, shooting only 27.8% overall, including 23.3% from downtown, and a career-low 66.7% from the free-throw line.
Chandler Hutchison will replace Otto Porter (left foot sprain) in the starting lineup Saturday vs. Houston.
Hutchison started the second half of Wednesday's game in place of Porter and tallied nine points (2-of-6 FGs, 5-of-7 FTs), four rebounds and one assist in 29 minutes. Hutchison started 14 games last season and averaged 6.9 points, 5.9 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 28.0 minutes in those 14 starts.
Otto Porter Jr. (left foot sprain) has been ruled out of Saturday's game vs. the Rockets, and coach Jim Boylen said it’s a soft tissue injury so it's difficult to place a timetable on it.
Porter, who has been dinged up by minor face and ankle injuries this season, checked himself out of Wednesday's game in obvious discomfort due to the foot issue and was able to return to the contest. We'll await an update, but it appears he's likely to miss multiple games. Otto has struggled early on in 2019-20, averaging just 11.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.6 assists. Chandler Hutchison will start in his place vs. Houston on Saturday.
That's it for the early news. Check back later. :moneybag::steam_locomotive:
