Hey all!
Welcome to day 2 of our daily DFS forum threads, hosted by our incredible team of daily fantasy studs!
These threads will provide daily news/updates and act as a sounding board for new players and experts alike. They will also be a spot where we can link to interesting shows (like the one Coach, Mike and Andrew H. are putting out every day) or other info we feel is worth highlighting.
I would also like to once again introduce Myles and Andrew G., two DFS experts that are going to be monitoring this thread (and the rest of the HB forums) as moderators here in this 2019-2020 season.
And it ain't a daily DFS thread without a link to today's show: DFS Today: Stars Return from Rest, Cavs Try to Rebound

UPDATE
PHI: Simmons and Horford out for rest.
I like the idea of stacking Richardson and Harris as they've both had consistent minutes and production over the past two games and with Horford and Simmons out their usage rate should increase. There has also been talk of Richardson getting minutes at PG and with Simmons out this would be an opportunity to see that happen. I will be using embiid in some line ups as well but as Coach has mentioned his minutes may be limited due to load management.
DET: Blake Griffin (hamstring) ruled out. No specifics have been given on the severity of the hamstring issue.
Drummond (rest) ruled out.
BOS: Out for rest Hayward,Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Kemba Walker, Enes Kanter, Jayson Tatum and Daniel Theis.
CLE: Tristan Thompson (rest) ruled out
HELLO & WELCOME MYLES & ANDY!!!
It is so awesome to have you guys join the team!!!
This brings our entire DFS offering full circle 24/7 coverage!!!
Congrats on the new contributors. Thanks for the great content! Where do I apply?
And what is to be done about Boston tonight?
Apply?
Pick up their opposition haha. Joking aside I took a look over the other 3 preseason games Tremont Waters, Grant Williams and Carsen Edwards are all rookies that have gotten some run and shown promise. Grant Williams was a first round pick he's made some noise this preseason. It's hard to really count on any of them since this will be their first time getting a large allotment of minutes. I've plugged a few of them into 25 cent line ups, I'm not willing to use them in anything larger then that. Robert Williams is a litte more established so he could be a good value play, although he is mostly rebounds and defensive stats.
I found this article on NBA.com that said this "The stage has been set for the youngest Celtics to make one last preseason impression on Stevens and the front office. A list of players that is headlined by Edwards, Williams, Ojeleye, Green, Robert Williams, Max Strus, Tremont Waters and Tacko Fall will play major minutes against the Cavaliers"
Hopefully Coach will shed some more light on the situation as he has much more knowledge on the rookie players then I do.
You have new contributors. Sounds like a dream job, so I wanted to apply too!
And thanks again
Oh, right on!
What's your preferred email? I'll reach out. Are you a DFS guy I take it?
was trying to decide between Waters and Edwards to throw a dart
phredlocks@gmail.com
Thanks for the response. I have been yearlong for 15 years and DFS when I have the time to commit to it for 5 years. I have time to commit now. haha
Edwards appears to be mostly scoring while Waters seems to be a little more rounded with assists and some rebounds, another guy I was looking at was wanamaker but he's been bothered by a hamstring issue recently.
Here are my Boston lock and load guys with everybody but the water boy sitting out!
Grant Williams and Carsen Edwards!
I'm also going to take a GPP shot, with it being TACKO Tuesday and all, Tacko Fall.
Yes, I am going to FALL for the narrative of Tacko Tuesday! You can't make this stuff up! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Celtics starting lineup:
Brad Wanamaker
Carsen Edwards
Semi Ojeleye
Grant Williams
Rob Williams
